Do iron (III) chloride, potassium iodide, or potassium chloride catalyze the decomposition of hydrogen peroxide?

Chemistry

Iron (III) chloride catalyzes the decomposition of hydrogen peroxide because the decomposition of hydrogen peroxide is usually inhibited by the presence of ions such as phosphate ions in solution. The iron ions that would result from the dissolution of iron (III) chloride have a charge of 3+ and would bond with the -3 charged phosphate ions, creating a non-charged FePO4 molecule and removing the decomposition inhibitor from the solution. Potassium iodide and potassium chloride both are more strongly bonded than a transition metal compound and would lack the necessary charged iron ion when added to hydrogen peroxide.

Explain why the boiling point of br2 (59°c) is lower than that of iodine monochloride, icl (97°c), even though they have nearly
vfiekz [6]
The boiling point of bromine (br2) is lower than iodine monochloride (icl) because icl molecules have a higher melting point. Also, the atoms of iodine monochloride have more electrons causing the intermolecular forces between iodine forces to be stronger. As the iodine forces are stronger, the boiling point will be higher.

Definition for starch in science ?
Akimi4 [234]

Answer:

 1. Starch is a polysaccharide comprising glucose monomers joined in α 1,4 linkages. or
 2. Starch is a long-chain polymer of glucose molecules joined together. or
 3. A starch is a complex polysaccharide made up of a large number of glucose units joined together by glycosidic bonds.

Explanation:

starch, a white, granular, organic chemical that is produced by all green plants. Starch is a soft, white, tasteless powder that is insoluble in cold water, alcohol, or other solvents.

Starch is amongst the most abundant plant products and is a mixture of two polymers, amylose and amylopectin. During food processing starch is transformed by hydrothermal treatments. ... The structure of starch is also influenced by specific and non-specific interactions with other food constituents and ingredients.

If 24.5 ml of base are required to reach the color endpoint of an acid/base titration what volume of base is actually needed
Burka [1]
The volume of base that is actually needed is 24.5 ml of base.
Titration is a chemical technique which is used in chemistry to find out the concentration of an unknown solution. A solution of known concentration is usually used to determine the concentration of the unknown solution. The known solution is usually added to a specific quantity of the unknown solution until the reaction is complete. An indicator is typically added to the unknown solution and the reaction is deem to be completed when there is a color change in the unknown solution.
Thus, the volume of the base that is required to reach the color end point is actually the base volume that is needed for the reaction.
