During photosynthesis: Light energy is absorbed by chlorophyll, a green substance found in chloroplasts in some plant cells and algae. Absorbed light energy is used to convert carbon dioxide (from the air) and water (from the soil) into a sugar called glucose. Oxygen is released as a by-product.

What is the voltage drop across the 10.0 ohm resistor?
DochEvi [55]

The voltage across all the resistors is the same i.e 120V

Each element of the parallel circuit has the same voltage applied to it. The total current flowing from the source is equal to the sum of the currents across each path. The electric potential difference (V) across each resistor in a parallel circuit is the same. Ohm's law states that I = V / R applies to the current in a resistor. The current will be lowest where the resistance is highest since the V is the same for each resistor. The currents passing through each resistor in a parallel combination have the same voltage across them because of their different resistance values and the laws of Ohms i., If two or more components are connected in parallel, they will be having same difference of potential (voltage) across their ends Parallel circuits are then used as current dividers.

What is the formation of a shadow?
katovenus [111]

Answer:

Shadows are formed when an opaque object or material is placed in the path of rays of light. The opaque material does not let the light pass through it. The light rays that go past the edges of the material make an outline for the shadow

Before railroad were invented, goods often traveled along canals, with mules pulling barges from the bank. If a mule is exerting
morpeh [17]

Answer:

W = 112.76MJ

Explanation:

the work is:

W = F_xD

where F_x is the force executed in the direction of the displacement and the d the displacement.

so:

W = 12000Ncos(20)(10000)

we use the cos of the angule because it give us the proyection in the axis x of the force, that means the force in the direction of the displacement.

W = 112.76MJ

Write a scientific question that is specific and testable. Jack and Jill when up a hill to fetch a pail of water. Once they got
Naya [18.7K]

The scientific method consists of making an observation, ask a question, formulate hypothesis, predict, test, iterate

The scientific question that can be asked is; What is the depth of the well

The reason why the above question is appropriate is as follows:

The items Jack and Jill found at the well

 • No pail
 • A stopwatch
 • Nine equal sized rocks

The information they can get using what they found are;

The time it takes the rock to reach the water surface in the well

The depth of the well

The well's depth, h, is given using the equation of free fall, as follows;

h = \dfrac{1}{2} \cdot g \cdot t^2

Where;

g ≈ Acceleration due to gravity ≈ 9.81 m/s²

By recording the time each rock takes to reach the water surface in the well, the average depth of the well, h_{ave}, can be found by finding the average of the 9 calculated values for h using the 9 stones

Therefore;

The scientific question that is specific and testable is how deep is the well, or what is the well's depth
