Concept: Dynamic Equilibrium: At dynamic equilibrium, the rate of reactants and the rate of products are almost equal. This means the reactants are converted into products and products are converted to reactants at an equal and constant rate. The equilibrium always tells the state of equal, opposite rates, not equal concentrations. So, it will seem like nothing is happening. Dynamic equilibrium can only happen in a closed system at a constant temperature.

Explanation: As per Le Chatelier's Principle, when we open the nozzle of the right tank, the amount of water in the right tank decreases because both the tanks are connected by a pipe. To counter this change water flows in from the left tank so the dynamic equilibrium will be established.

When a potential V is applied across a capacitor, a charge q is stored. What charge is stored if the potential across the capaci
Readme [11.4K]

Answer:

q' = 0.5q

Hence, the charge stored is also halved

Explanation:

The capacitance of a capacitor is given by the following formula:

C = \frac{q}{V} ------- eqn(1)

where,

C = Capacitance of the capacitor

q = charge stored in the capacitor

V = potential across the capacitor

Now, if we make potential half of its initial value:

C = \frac{q'}{0.5V}\\\\CV = 2q'\\using\ eqn(1):\\\frac{q}{V}(V) = 2q'\\\\<u></u>

<u>q' = 0.5q </u>
