Answer: B

Explanation: 1 gram equals to 100 centigrams. We can also say that, 1 centigram equals to 0.01 gram.

From above centigram to gram conversion factor, there are two decimal places in 0.01 gram. So, a centigram balance is the one that could read the mass of a matter(object) to two decimal places.

Balance A can only read to one decimal place where as balance B can read the mass up to two decimal places.

Hence, balance B is the centigram balance.

It is B balance, because it has a 0,01 g divisions scale. The minimun division in A balance is only 0,1 g, i.e, decigram measurement.

How much heat is required to raise the temperature of 10.35g of CCl4 from 32.1°c to 56.4°c
Travka [436]
We are going to use this formula:

Q = M*C*ΔT

when Q is the heat required

M is the mass of CCl4 = 10.35 g

C is the specific heat capacity of CCl4 = 0.874J/g.c

and ΔT the change in temperature = 56.4 - 32.1 °C =24.3 °C

∴ Q = 10.35g * 0.874 * 24.3 °C

       = 219.8 J

AT constant temperature, a gas is compressed from 5.5 L to 1 L. At 1 L, the pressure of the gas is 98.2 kPa. What was the origin
svet-max [94.6K]

We have that the original pressure of this gas is mathematically given as

P2=17.854 kPa

Boyle's law

Question Parameters:

AT constant temperature, a gas is compressed from 5.5 L to 1 L.

At 1 L, the pressure of the gas is 98.2 kPa

Generally the equation for Boyle's law is mathematically given as

P1V1=P2V2

Therefore

P1=\frac{P2V2}{V1}\\\\P2=\frac{98.2*1}{5.5}

P2=17.854 kPa
