Turning on a flashlight is what type of energy to what type of energy

Physics

Turning on a flashlight uses a battery, right? Chemical energy is stored in that battery. If you use the battery, you're converting that chemical energy to an electrical energy.

In a flashlight then, the electrical energy becomes light energy and thermal energy in the bulb. Why light and thermal? The flashlight gives us light and then, gives out heat. This is why when we touch light bulbs, it feels hot.

I hope you find this answer the most helpful! :)

Why do metals make good electrical conductors?
alexdok [17]

Answer:

Explained

Explanation:

Metals are good conductors of electricity because they contain free electrons in their atoms. The outer shell of atom's of metal have free electrons. These free electrons are responsible of electrical conductivity of metals. These electron are not bounded by the attraction forces of the nucleous. They are free to wonder in lattice of positive ion and thus allow electrical conductivity.

Two protons are 9.261 fm apart. (1 fm= 1 femtometer = 1 x 10^-15 m.) What is the ratio of the electric force to the gravitationa
Strike441 [17]

Answer:

1.24\times 10^{36}

Explanation:

q = magnitude of charge on each proton = 1.6 x 10⁻¹⁹ C

m = mass of each proton = 1.67 x 10⁻²⁷ kg

r = distance between the two protons = 1 x 10⁻¹⁵ m

Electric force between the two protons is given as

F_{e} = \frac{kq^{2}}{r^{2}}

F_{e} = \frac{(9\times 10^{9})(1.6\times 10^{-19})^{2}}{(1\times 10^{-15})^{2}}

F_{e} = 230.4 N

Gravitational force between the two protons is given as

F_{g} = \frac{Gm^{2}}{r^{2}}

F_{g} = \frac{(6.67\times 10^{-11})(1.67\times 10^{-27})^{2}}{(1\times 10^{-15})^{2}}

F_{g} = 1.86\times 10^{-34} N

Ratio is given as

Ratio =\frac{F_{e}}{F_{g}}

Ratio =\frac{230.4}{1.86\times 10^{-34}}

Ratio = 1.24\times 10^{36}

A car is traveling on a level road at a constant rate of speed. What additional force is necessary to bring the car into equilib
iragen [17]

Answer: Zero.

Explanation:

By the first Newton's law, we know that:

every object will remain at rest or in uniform motion in a straight line unless compelled to change its state by the action of an external force.

Now, we know that the car is moving with constant speed, then there is no net force acting on the car, which means that the car is already in equilibrium.

Then if we add one force to the situation, the car will not be anymore in equilibrium.

The correct option is zero.
