51 degrees. Since we're ignoring friction, we have to have a banking angle such that the normal force is exactly perpendicular to the banked curve. Since this problem says "ignore friction", if the bank angle is too shallow, the bobsled would slide outwards if the banking angle is too shallow and would fall inwards if the banking angle is too steep. So we have to exactly match the calculated centripetal acceleration. The equation for centripetal acceleration is: F = mv^2/r I'll assume a mass of 1 kg to keep the math simple. Any mass could be used and the direction vectors would be the same except their magnitude would differ. So F = 1 kg * (35 m/s)^2/100 m F = 1225 kg*m^2/s^2 / 100 m F = 12.25 kg*m/s^2 The local gravitational acceleration is 9.8 m/s^2, so the sum of those vectors will have a length of sqrt(12.25^2 + 9.8^2) and an angle of atan(9.8/12.25) below the horizon. The magnitude of the vector doesn't matter, merely the angle which is: atan(9.8/12.25) = atan(0.8) = 38.65980825 degrees. The banking angle needs to be perpendicular to the force vectors. So 90 - 38.65980825 = 51.34019175 degrees. Rounding to 2 significant figures gives a bank angle of 51 degrees.

the suvat equation with these values in is: v^2 = u^2 - 2as
so a = (-v^2 + u^2)/-2s
plug numbers in
a = (-85^2 + 0^2)/-2*36 = 7225/72 = 100.3... ms^-2

What happens in the process of gravitational condensation?
marissa [1.9K]

Answer:

An object decreases in size due to the collision of materials. An object increases in size due to the addition of materials. Gas particles are formed from solar nebula materials.

The top pair of pliers failed to loosen a stubborn bolt, but the bottom pair successfully removed it.
Lesechka [4]

The top pair of pliers failed to loosen a stubborn bolt, but the bottom pair successfully removed it. Because the contact between the bolt and the pliers working surface is less.

What is mechanical advantage ?

Mechanical advantage is a measure of the ratio of output force to input force in a system, it is used to obtained efficiency of the given mechanical machine.

The efficiency to open the stubborn bolt depends upon the contact between the working surface of the pliers and the bolt.

The contact between the bolt and the top pair of pliers working surface is less. Its mechanical advantage is less.

Hence, the top pair of pliers failed to loosen a stubborn bolt, but the bottom pair successfully removed it.

The longest wavelength within the visible spectrum is _______ light.
Goryan [66]
The longest wavelength within the visible spectrum is the red light. The answer is letter C. It is called visible light because it is the only light that can be seen by the human eye. Red light is the longest wavelength around 620 to 750 nanometer. It is followed by orange which has a wavelength of 590 t 620 nanometer. And then blue which has a wavelength of 450 to 495 nanometer. And the shortest wavelength is violet which has a wavelength of 380 to 459 nanometer.

An air bubble has a volume of 2.0 cm3 when it is released by a submarine 100 m below the surface of a freshwater lake. What is t
UkoKoshka [18]

Answer:

21.35 cm^3

Explanation:

let the volume at the surface of fresh water is V.

The volume at a depth of 100 m is V' = 2 cm^3

temperature remains constant.

density of water, d = 1000 kg/m^3

Pressure at the surface of fresh water is atmospheric pressure,

P = Po = 1.013 x 10^5 N/m^2

The pressure at depth 100 m is P' = Po + hdg

P' = 1.013 \times 10^{5}+ 100 \times 1000 \times 9.8

P' = 10.813 x 10^5 N/m^2

Use the Boyle's law

P V = P' V'

1.013 \times 10^{5}\times V = 10.813 \times 10^{5}\times 2

V = 21.35 cm^3

Thus, the volume of air bubble at the surface of fresh water is 21.35 cm^3.
