Frequency of a wave =

                 (speed of the wave) divided by (wavelength)
or
                 (1) divided by (period of the wave) .

Period of the wave =

                   (wavelength) divided by (speed of the wave)
or
                   (1) divided by (frequency of the wave) .

The net force on the propeller of a 3.2 kg model airplane is 7.0N forward. What is the acceleration of the airplane? If it start
Korolek [52]

Answers:

Acceleration = 2.1875 m/s^2

Velocity after 2.5 seconds = 5.46875 m/s

=======================================================

Work Shown:

Part 1

The mass is m = 3.2 and the force is F = 7.0

Apply the formula F = ma to find the acceleration to be...

F = ma

7.0 = 3.2*a

7.0/3.2 = a

2.1875 = a

a = 2.1875

The acceleration is 2.1875 m/s^2

Every second, the velocity of the plane is increasing by 2.1875 m/s.

----------------------

Part 2

We have the following variables

  • vi = initial velocity = 0 m/s (since it starts from rest)
  • vf = unknown final velocity (what we're trying to figure out)
  • t = change in time = 2.5 seconds
  • a = acceleration = 2.1875 m/s^2

Using one of the kinematics equations, we can then say,

vf = vi + a*t

vf = 0 + 2.1875*2.5

vf = 5.46875

After 2.5 seconds, the airplane is traveling 5.46875 m/s.

5.46875 m/s converts to roughly 12.2332 mph.

ou are unloading a refrigerator from a delivery van. The ramp on the van is 5.0 m long, and its top end is 1.4 m above the groun
tigry1 [53]

Answer:

Explanation:

component of force along the ramp

= 370 cos θ where θ is the slope of the ramp with respect to ground.

sinθ = 1.4 / 5

θ = 16 degree

370 cos16

= 355.67 N

Work done

= component of force along the ramp x length of the ramp

= 355.67 x 5

= 1778.35 J

What is an analogy that describes the process of electron carriers?
Vladimir79 [104]
An analogy is a comparison between one thing and another, typically for the purpose of explanation or clarification.

An analogy of an electron carrier molecule and high energy electrons can be just like moving a potato. A laundry basket filled with warm laundry can also be compared to an electron carrier. In this analogy, the laundry basket represents the electron carrier and the warm laundry represents the high energy electrons. There is another analogy that describes the process of electron carriers is a laundry basket filled with warm laundry can also be compared to an electron carrier. In this analogy, the laundry basket represents the electron carrier and the warm laundry represents the high energy electrons.

For the equilibrium reaction N2O4(g) ⇀↽ 2 NO2(g) taking place inside a sealed container fitted with a piston, predict the effect
Butoxors [25]

Answer:

4. The equilibrium will shift to favor formation of NO2(g)

Explanation:

According to La Chatalier's Principle which states that when an equilibrium system undergoes changes either in temperature, volume or concentration; there will be in a change in the system in order to reach equilibrium.

From the above equation,

N2O4(g) ⇀↽ 2 NO2(g)

From the above reaction, there are 2 moles of gaseous product on the left and 1 mole of gaseous reactant.

Therefore, there are more moles of gases in the left hand side than the right hand side.

Because a decrease in volume favors the direction that produces fewer moles, an increase in volume will therefore shift this system towards the side with more moles of gases that is, more products are formed hence, this system will shift to right and produce more moles of products i.e more NO2(g) formed.
