N capacitors are connected in parallel to form a "capacitor circuit". The capacitance of first capacitor is C, second one is C/2

and third one is C/4, forth one is C/8 and so on. Namely, capacitance of a capacitor is one-half of the previous one. What is the equivalent capacitance of this parallel combination when N goes to inifinity?

Answer:

2C

Explanation:

The equivalent capacitance of a parallel combination of capacitors is the sum of their capacitance.

So, if the capacitance of each capacitor is half the previous one, we have a geometric series with first term = C and rate = 0.5.

Using the formula for the sum of the infinite terms of a geometric series, we have:

Sum = First term / (1 - rate)

Sum = C / (1 - 0.5)

Sum = C / 0.5 = 2C

So the equivalent capacitance of this parallel connection is 2C.

How can a rocket be propelled forward in space where there is no air to push<br> against?
pychu [463]

Answer:

Explanation:

In space, rockets zoom around with no air to push against. ... When a rocket shoots fuel out one end, this propels the rocket forward — no air is required. NASA says this principle is easy to observe on Earth. If you stand on a skateboard and throw a bowling ball forward, that force will push you and the skateboard back.

Naddika [18.5K]
This is an example of kinetic to potential because the water is moving, pushing a turbine (Kinetic) and the turbine converts the energy to potential energy.

A physical representation of a real object, such as a globe of the world, is an ___ model
densk [106]

Answer;

-Physical model

A physical representation of a real object, such as a globe of the world, is a physical model.

Explanation;

-A physical model is a simplified material representation, usually on a reduced scale, of an object or phenomenon that needs to investigated.

-The model can be used to simulate the physical conditions involved (temperature, waves, speed etc.) and to predict the particular constraints of the situation.

A 21 kg chair initially at rest on a horizontal floor requires a 175 N horizontal force to set it in motion. Once the chair is i
Alika [10]

Answer:\mu =0.85

Explanation:

Given

mass of chair m=21 kg

Force required to set chair in motion is 175 N

Once the chair is in motion 137 N is require to move it with constant velocity

i.e. 175 N is the amount of force needed to just overcome static friction and 137 is the kinetic friction force

thus

f_s(static\ friction)=\mu \cdot N

where \muis the coefficient of static friction and N is Normal reaction

N=mg

f_s=\mu mg

\mu mg=175

\mu =\frac{175}{21\times 9.8}

\mu =0.85

1 7 points If you take less time to perform a task, you have less power output. O True O False
horsena [70]

True

The rate at which work is done is referred to as power. A task done quite quickly is described as having a relatively large power. The same task that is done more slowly is described as being of less power. Both tasks require he same amount of work but they have a different power.
