For this item, we will have a double-replacement reaction. This means that the compounds will exchange elements. The balanced chemical reaction is shown below.
                   NaCH3COO + HCl --> NaCl + CH3COOH
So, what are formed in the reaction is the salt NaCl and the carboxylic acid, acetic acid. Hence, the precipitate formed is the salt NaCl.

No precipitate is formed by reaction of {\textbf{NaCH}\mathbf{_3}\textbf{COO}} and HCl.

Further Explanation:

Precipitation reactions:

Such reactions involve formation of insoluble salt when solutions of soluble salts combine with each other. This insoluble salt is termed as precipitate. Due to formation of precipitates, these reactions are known as precipitation reactions. These reactions are essential tool in determination of different ions existing in particular solutions.

\text{NaCH}_3\text{COO} is sodium salt of acetic acid and is therefore weak acid. But, on the other hand, HCl is a strong acid and is capable to displace sodium from sodium acetate salt. As a result, acetic acid and sodium chloride are formed.

Reaction between \text{NaCH}_3\text{COO} and HCl occurs as follows:

\text{NaCH}_3\text{COO}+\text{HCl}\rightarrow\text{CH}_3\text{COOH}+\text{NaCl}

In this reaction, one mole of \text{NaCH}_3\text{COO} reacts with one mole of HCl and one mole of \text{CH}_3\text{COOH} and one mole of NaCl are produced. Both products are soluble in water. Since both of the products of this reaction are water soluble, no precipitate can be formed by reaction of \text{NaCH}_3\text{COO} and HCl.

How does a sample of hydrogen at 10 °C compare to a sample of hydrogen at 350 K?
Aleks04 [339]

Answer: -

The hydrogen at 10 °C has slower-moving molecules than the sample at 350 K.

Explanation: -

Temperature of the hydrogen gas first sample = 10 °C.

Temperature in kelvin scale of the first sample = 10 + 273 = 283 K

For the second sample, the temperature is 350 K.

Thus we see the second sample of the hydrogen gas more temperature than the first sample.

We know from the kinetic theory of gases that

The kinetic energy of gas molecules increases with the increase in temperature of the gas. The speed of the movement of gas molecules also increase with the increase in kinetic energy.

So higher the temperature of a gas, more is the kinetic energy and more is the movement speed of the gas molecules.

Thus the hydrogen at 10 °C has slower-moving molecules than the sample at 350 K.

Why do crisp packets become inflated at high altitudes? Again, explain in as great a detail as possible, using ideas about parti
Andrei [34K]
As you get higher the atmospheric pressure lowers. The pressure in the packet of crisps has the pressure at which it has been closed (pressure at the surface of the earth). This means that the air molecules in the packet press harder outside than the air molecules in the atmosphere press on the packet.
