Answer:

2~NaHCO_3 (s)\rightarrow Na_2CO_3 (s) + H_2O (g) + CO_2 (g)

Explanation:

The reaction will be balanced if on each side of the equation we will have exactly same amounts of each element.

On the left, we have one sodium, on the right we have two, so we may attempt to add a coefficient of two for the reactant, sodium bicarbonate:

2~NaHCO_3 (s)\rightarrow Na_2CO_3 (s) + H_2O (g) + CO_2 (g)

Now, let's calculate the number of hydrogen. We have two on the left and two on the right, so hydrogen is balanced.

A total of 2 carbons are present on the left, as well as two carbons on the right (one in sodium carbonate and one in carbon dioxide).

A total of 6 oxygens on the left and 6 on the right, so now the reaction is balanced.

Draw the lewis structure of the hypochlorite ion clo- . include lone pairs
Dmitry_Shevchenko [17]

Solution:- Hypochlorite ion ClO^- has one Cl and one O atom. Cl has 7 valence electrons and O has 6 valence electrons. Since there is one negative charge on the ion,

total valence electrons = 7 + 6 +1 = 14

(note:- if there is negative charge then it is added and if there is positive charge then it is subtracted while calculating the valence electrons)

Both Cl and O atoms wants to complete their octet and so for this we put a single bond between them. Single bond means two electrons, so the remaining electrons would be 14 - 2 = 12

It means 12 electrons will be placed as lone pair of electrons. To complete the octet, we put 6 dots around each of the atom. Oxygen is more electron negative than Cl, so we show the -1 charge for oxygen.

Based on Reference Table S, the atoms of which of these elements have the strongest attraction for electrons in a chemical bond?
BabaBlast [244]
Answer is (1) - N

Explanation:

I think the given chart is electronegativity chart.

Electronegativity is a value that tells us how an atom can attract electrons towards itself. If the electronegativity is high, then the attraction to the electrons is high unless the attraction to the electrons is low.

Electronegativity increases from left to right of the periodic table and decreases from up to down.
Hence, highest electronegative atom is F which has 4.0 and lowest electronegative atoms are Cs and Fr (0.7).

The electronegativity values for given atoms are
 N - 3.0
 Na - 0.9
 P - 2.1
 Pt - 2.2

If the diet is deficient in one or more of the _____amino acids, the body must break down existing proteins to provide the amino
AysviL [449]
Essential amino acids
Amino acids are the molecules that make up proteins when they are linked up. There are certain essential amino acids, namely they are histidine, isoleucine, leucine, lysine, methionine, phenylalanine, threonine, tryptophan, and valine.
All of these must be obtained from one's diet. If they are not, the body will use existing proteins, such as muscle mass, to obtain them.
