Answer:

1) For motion in two dimensions Cartesian co-ordinate system is generally preferred though polar co-ordinate system can be also used for problems involving circular motion.

2) For a general plane motion  we can choose any frame depending on the problem that makes it easier to analyse but in general Cartesian coordinate system is preferred.

Explanation:

Motion of particles in space or in planes can be arbitrary in nature meaning that the particle can choose any path to travel. So for the cases of planar motion the Cartesian co-ordinate system is preferred as we are to deal with only 2 unknown position co-ordinates of the particle. But if the motion is circular such as around a circle then the analysis is much simplified by using polar co-ordinate system.

Similarly depending on the motion of the particle in space we can choose Cartesian or spherical or cylindrical co-ordinate system for easier analysis depending upon the nature of the problem.

Provided the amplitude is sufficiently great, the human ear can respond to longitudinal waves over a range of frequencies from a
riadik2000 [5.3K]

Answer:

Check the explanation

Explanation:

The beat frequency is

df = f2 - f1

the wavelength is

lamda1 = (v/f1)

and lamda2 = (v/f2)

where v = 340 m/s,f1 = 25.0 kHz and f2 = 20.0 kHz

8) Find the X and Y component of 10degree vector that has 5N.
Deffense [45]

Answer:

Fx  = 4.92 [N]

Fy = 0.868 [N]

Explanation:

Let's take the 10 degrees as a measure from the horizontal component to the vector.

Thus taking the components in the X & y axes respectively:

Fx = 5*cos(10) = 4.92 [N]

Fy = 5*sin(10) = 0.868 [N]

7. A beam of light converges at a point P. Now a lens is placed in the path of the convergent
Rudiy27

Answer:

Lens at a distance = 7.5 cm

Lens at a distance = 6.86 cm  (Approx)

Explanation:

Given:

Object distance u = 12 cm

a) Focal length = 20 cm

b) Focal length = 16 cm

Computation:

a. 1/v = 1/u + 1/f

1/v = 1/20 + 1/12

v = 7.5 cm

Lens at a distance = 7.5 cm

b.  1/v = 1/u + 1/f

1/v = 1/16 + 1/12

v = 6.86 cm  (Approx)

Lens at a distance = 6.86 cm  (Approx)
