If egg is dipped in cylinder then the volume of egg will be difference in the volumes before dipping egg (initial volume) and volume after dipping egg (final volume)

Volume of egg= 58.5-50.0 = 8.5 mL

What does the photoelectric effect prove?
Elza [17]

Answer:

By showing that changing the frequency of light causes the emission of faster electrons.

Explanation:

The photoelectric effect happens when light strikes a metal surface causing the emission of electrons from it (photoelectrons).

If you increase the intensity of the light you get, as acresult, more electrons emitted but their kinetic energy does not increase.

If you increase the frequency of the incident light the number of photoelectrons emitted does not increase while the velocity, and so their kinetic energy, increases...the emitted electrons are more...energetic!

This can be explained considering the incident light as a shower of particle-like packets of energy (photons); if you increase the intensity you simply increase the number of packets (all with the same energy) hitting the metal; these can be used by a lot of electrons to escape.

On the other hand if you increase the frequency the number of packets remains the same (emitting fewer electrons perhaps) but the energy carried by each of them increases.

Each packet carries an energy directly proportional to the frequency.

When 8.30 mol Mg react with 13.5 mol HCI, what is the limiting reactant and how many moles of H2 can be formed?
vovikov84 [41]

6.75 moles of H₂

Explanation:

We have the following balanced chemical reaction:

Mg + 2 HCl → MgCl₂ + H₂

From the chemical reaction we deduce that if 1 mole of Mg is reating with 2 moles of HCl then 8.30 moles of Mg is reaction with 16.60 moles of HCl, quantity which is over our available 13.5 moles of HCl. The limiting reactant is HCl.

Knowing this we devise the following reasoning:

if 2 moles of HCl produces 1 mole of H₂

then 13.5 moles of HCl produces X moles of H₂

X = (13.5 × 1) / 2 = 6.75 moles of H₂

3. Find the mass of 4.77 x 1022 atoms of scandium
(Sc).
iren2701 [21]

Answer:

Mass = 3.6 g

Explanation:

Given data:

Number of atoms of scandium = 4.77×10²² atoms

Mass of arsenic = ?

Solution:

The given problem will solve by using Avogadro number.

It is the number of atoms , ions and molecules in one gram atom of element, one gram molecules of compound and one gram ions of a substance.

The number 6.022× 10²³ is called Avogadro number.

one mole =  6.02×10²³ atoms

one mole × 4.77×10²² atoms / 6.02×10²³ atoms

0.08 mol

Mass of scandium

Mass = number of moles × molar mass

Mass = 0.08 mol ×  45 g/mol

Mass = 3.6 g

while ionic compounds in the solid state do not conduct electricity, when they are melted, electric current
evablogger [386]

Answer:

Explanation:

Ionic (or electrovalent) compounds conduct electricity when there they are in the aqueous state/solution because the charges of ions of these compounds are what carry the electric charges in the aqueous solution as a result of free movement within the aqueous solution which they do not "have" when in there solid state (where they have a highly restricted movement/compacted structure).
