A projectile is launched on Earth and flies without air resistance. Another projectile is launched with the same initial velocit

y on the moon, where the acceleration due to gravity is one sixth as large. How does the range of the projectile on the Moon compare with the range of the projectile on Earth? Assume it is launched over level ground in both cases.

Answer:6 times the range of Earth

Explanation:

Given

first projectile is launched and second Projectile is launched on moon surface from same height

acceleration due to gravity  on moon is \frac{g}{6}

Range of Projectile=\frac{u^2\sin 2\theta }{g}

Where u=initial velocity

\theta=launch angle

R_1=Range\ on\ earth\=\frac{u^2\sin 2\theta }{g}

R_2=Range\ on\ moon\ =\frac{u^2\sin 2\theta }{\frac{g}{6}}

R_2=\frac{6u^2\sin 2\theta }{g}

R_2=6R_1

so range on moon is six times as compare to range on earth

a transmission-line cable, of length 3 km, consists of 19 strands of identical copper conductors, each 1.5 mm in diameter. becau
Ivan

the resistance of the cable is 582.9 ohms

we are given the length of the cable which is  3 km,  of  1.5 mm in, the diameter  and resistivity of copper which is 1.72 m

The formula  we are referring to for calculating the resistance of the  cable is

R = ρl/A.

As there are 19 strands of copper conductors, so the resistance will be

R = 19( ρl/A)

Here  ρ is the resisitivity =  1.72 , l is the length  = 3(1+0.05)*10³3= 3150 m

A=pie/4(1.5 x 10⁻³)^2 =1.766 x 10⁻⁶ =1.766 x 10^-6

Substituting the values in the formula  we  get

R = 19 ( 1.72*3150 )/1.766 x 10⁻⁶

 = 582.9 ohm

tino4ka555 [31]

Answer:

0m/s²

Explanation:

Given parameters:

Initial velocity of the boat = 8m/s

Final velocity  = 8m/s

Time taken  = 4s

Unknown:

Acceleration of the boat = ?

Solution:

Acceleration is the rate of change of velocity with time.

It is mathematically expressed as;

        A = \frac{v - u}{t}

A is the acceleration

v is the final velocity

u is the initial velocity

t is the time taken

    Insert the parameters and solve;

  A = \frac{8-8}{4}   = 0m/s²
