I think the correct answer from the choices listed above is the second option. Oxygen and hydrogen are most likely to form covalent bonds. It is a chemical bond that involves the sharing of electron pairs between atoms. Hope this answers the question. Have a nice day.

Oxygen and Hydrogen would most likely form a covalent bond that is polar, or a polar covalent bond. Due to the electronegativity difference between the 2 elements, unequal sharing of the valence electrons will occur, electrons being in closer proximity to Oxygen and farther away from Hydrogen. Resulting in the characteristic partial positive and negative charges to appear for the respective elements.

Draw arrows for all of the attractive and repulsive forces between the negatively charged electrons and positively charged proto
Sophie [7]

Answer:

Attraction

(e-) ---> <--- (H+)

Repulsion:

<---(e-) (e-)-->

Neutral:

(e-)       (Helium)

Explanation:

Accordingly to coulomb's law:

In the attraction, the hydrogen without an electron has a positive charge and needs to be fulfilled with a negative charge found in an eletron.

In the repulsion, both electrons has the same charge and repulse each other.

In the neutral case, the Helium is highly stable therefore the electron is not attracted.

A sample of 17.0 M concentrated H2SO4 stock solution with a volume of 25.0 cm3 was diluted to final concentration of 5.0 M H2SO4
Art [367]

Answer:

60 cm³ of water

Explanation:

We'll begin by calculating the volume of the diluted solution. This can be obtained as follow:

Concentration of stock solution (C₁) = 17 M

Volume of stock solution (V₁) = 25 cm³

Concentration of diluted solution (C₂) = 5 M

Volume of diluted solution (V₂) =?

C₁V₁ = C₂V₂

17 × 25 = 5 × V₂

425 = 5 × V₂

Divide both side by 5

V₂ = 425 / 5

V₂ = 85 cm³

Thus, the volume of the diluted solution is 85 cm³

Finally, we shall determine the volume of water needed to dilute the solution. This can be obtained as follow:

Volume of stock solution (V₁) = 25 cm³

Volume of diluted solution (V₂) = 85 cm³

Volume of water =?

Volume of water = V₂ – V₁

Volume of water = 85 – 25

Volume of water = 60 cm³

Therefore, 60 cm³ of water is needed to dilute the solution.

mojhsa [17]
Once the torch is lit, the acetylene flow must be increased until the flame stops smoking before the oxygen is turned on for adjustment in order to keep the tip of the torch cool.

You should also note that while lighting the torch, you should keep the spark lighter near the tip but not covering it.
