Answer: are attracted towards each other because of some positive and negative charges on the hydrogen and oxygen atoms respectively.

Cohesion: It holds hydrogen bonds together in case of water. this creates surface tension on water.

High specific heat: The specific heat of water (1 calorie/g ^oC) is higher than most of the common substances.

High heat of vaporization: The amount of heat required for evaporation of an amount of water is higher than rest.

All these properties of water can be explained based on the strong bond formed between the molecules due to the presence of partial negative charge of oxygen atoms and positive charge of hydrogen atom.

Tom [10]

Answer:

250000kg

Explanation:

Mass =density * volume

Density=1000kg/m³

Volume=l*w*h

12.5*10.0*2.0=250m³

Mass=1000 *250

=250000kg

A long straight wire has fixed negative charge with a linear charge density of magnitude 4.6 nC/m. The wire is to be enclosed by
Semmy [17]

Answer: -33.3 * 10^9 C/m^2( nC/m^2)

Explanation: In order to solve this problem we have to use the gaussian law, the we have:

Eoutside =0 so teh Q inside==

the Q inside= 4.6 nC/m*L + σ *2*π*b*L where L is the large of the Gaussian surface and b the radius of the shell.

Then we simplify and get

σ= -4.6/(2*π*b)= -33.3 nC/m^2

In world war 1 , Multiple reflection was used in submarines. How multiple reflection works and helps in such situation?
prisoha [69]

Answer:

Submarines use a device called Periscope that uses the concept of multiple reflections and help us see objects above the water surface.

Explanation:

When a light ray falls on a reflecting surface like a mirror, it gets reflected. In multiple reflections, the incident light ray is made to reflect multiple times by arranging the reflecting surfaces in different ways.

In submarines, we use Periscope, which is a long tube like structure. The long tube is bent at ends. It uses two simple mirrors which are placed parallel to each other at an angle of 45 degrees. The light from one mirror gets reflected to the other mirror, thus causing a multiple reflection.
