Great question, the force between any two charges is calculated by F=kI1I2/s2 so if the distance is doubled the force between the two charges decreases by 1/4

It will double it and yes it will change them.

Work out the kinetic energy of a 2.5 kg remote-controlled car that is moving at 2 m/s.
lbvjy [14]

Answer: 5 joules

Explanation:

mass=m=2.5kg

Velocity=v=2m/s

Kinetic energy=ke

ke=(m x v x v)/2

ke=(2.5 x 2 x 2)/2

Ke=10/2

Ke=5

Kinetic energy=5 joules

On a day when the temperature reaches 50°F, the temperature in degrees Celsius is: 20°C
anzhelika [568]

Answer:

10°C

Explanation:

To convert °F to °C, we use the formula:

°C =  (°F - 32) * ( 5/9)

So, to convert 50°F to the equivalent  in °C, we can proceed as follows:

°C = ( 50 - 32 ) * (5/9)

°C = ( 18 ) *  (5/9), which is, approximately,

°C = 9.999999999... ≈ 10 (5/9 ≈0.555555...)

So, 50°F is equivalent to 10°C.

the train accelerates from 30 km/h to 45 km/h in 15 secs. a. find its acceleration. b. distance it travels during this time ...
Sonbull [250]
Acceleration = v-u/t
= (45-30)/15
= 1 km/h

Distance = ut + 1/2 at^2
s = [30 x 15]  + 1/2 x 1 x 15^2
= 562.5 km

Hope this helps

A cue ball, moving with 9.0 N·s of momentum strikes the nine-ball at rest. The nine-ball moves off with 2.0 N·s in the original
lisov135 [29]

Answer:

P = 7.28 N.s

Explanation:

given,

initial momentum of cue ball in x- direction,P₁ = 9 N.s

momentum of nine ball in  x-  direction, P₂ = 2 N.s

momentum in perpendicular direction i.e. y - direction,P'₂ = 2 N.s

momentum of the cue after collision = ?

using conservation of momentum

in x- direction

P₁ + p = x  + P₂

p is the initial momentum of the nine balls which is equal to zero.

9 + 0  = x  + 2

x = 7 N.s

momentum in x-direction.

equating along y-direction

P'₁ + p = y + P'₂

0 + 0 = y + 2

y = -2 N.s

the momentum of the cue ball after collision is equal to resultant of the momentum .

P = \sqrt{x^2+y^2}

P = \sqrt{7^2+(-2)^2}

      P = 7.28 N.s

the momentum of the cue ball after collision is equal to P = 7.28 N.s

A parallel-plate capacitor has a voltage of 391 v applied across its plates, then the voltage source is removed. what is the vol
andrezito [222]

When the capacitor is connected to the voltage, a charge Q is stored on its plates. Calling C_0 the capacitance of the capacitor in air, the charge Q, the capacitance C_0 and the voltage (V_0=391 V) are related by

C_0 =\frac{Q}{V_0} (1)

when the source is disconnected the charge Q remains on the capacitor.

When the space between the plates is filled with mica, the capacitance of the capacitor increases by a factor 5.4 (the permittivity of the mica compared to that of the air):

C=k C_0 = 5.4 C_0

this is the new capacitance. Since the charge Q on the plates remains the same, by using eq. (1) we can find the new voltage across the capacitor:

V=\frac{Q}{C}=\frac{Q}{5.4 C_0}

And since Q=C_0 V_0, substituting into the previous equation, we find:

V=\frac{C_0 V_0}{5.4 C_0}=\frac{V_0}{5.4}=\frac{391 V}{5.4}=72.4 V
