Inductive reasoning uses specific observation to make generalization.

Inductive reasoning is basically an approach to logical thinking. It entails making generalization based on specific details.

It is major critical thinking skills that many people, particularly employers sough after in their employees.

Further Explanation

In inductive inferences, individual goes from specific observation to general. Scientists also use inductive reasoning to form theories and hypotheses.

There are different types of inductive reasoning and these include:

 1. Generalized: This involves drawing conclusion from generalization. For example, bright is an excellent swimmer, his father has a swimming pool. Bright Brother, Kennedy must also be an excellent swimmer.
 2. Statistical: this involves drawing conclusion based on statistics.
 3. Analogous: it involves drawing conclusion based on properties shared by two groups.
 4. Sample: it involves drawing conclusion about a particular group based on a different group.
 5. Predictive: it involves drawing conclusion based on prediction by using past sample.
 6. Causal inference: it involves drawing conclusion based on connections that is causal.

However, there are advantages of inductive reasoning

It gives individual the opportunity to work with ranges of probabilities and the assumptions that individual makes from a specific set of data are unlimited. However, inductive reasoning presents individual with a starting points and then drawn an informed conclusion.

Inductive reasoning can also help individual to come up with multiple solutions and use research to measure or evaluate other hypotheses. It provides individual the opportunity to use knowledge acquired from past experiences to form judgment and make new informed decisions in new situation.

The answer is inductive reasoning.

Using specific observations to make generalizations means inductive reasoning.

Inductive reasoning is opposite to deductive reasoning, it makes generalization from specific observations. Generalization is done from specific set of observations. After generalization, conclusions are drawn from the data. Inductive reasoning has its place in scientific method.

Which is the anode and which is the cathode?
rewona [7]

Answer:

2l- ---> l2 + 2e- is the anode

2H+ + 2e- ---> H2(g) is the cathode

Explanation:

Oxidation occurs when a metal loses two or more electrons in a redox chemical reaction and reduction is when it gains. Thus, oxidation is the anode and reduction is the cathode.

The only bonds in a formula unit of CaF2 are __________. nonpolar covalent polar covalent ionic metallic
adell [148]

Answer:

ionic

Explanation:

Ionic bonds exist between Ca and F ions in CaF₂. Ionic bonds are interatomic bonds formed by the transfer of electrons from one atom to the other.

The donor atom here is Ca and it has two valence electrons. Fluorine is the receiving atom with 7 electrons in its outermost shell.

Ca would give one each of its two outermost electrons to the fluorine atoms to complete their octet. Ca ion would now resemble Argon and the flourine atoms would look more like Neon atoms.

This is an ionic bond
