If you are going skiing do you need high or low friction and why?

Chemistry

Low friction between you/the ski vs the snow.

if you think about it its kinda like you and a slip and slide...water helps decrease friction so you slide (snow does the same for the skiing) but without it you just flop and don't go anywhere (very easily anyway).

A compound decomposes by a first-order process. if 25.0% of the compound decomposes in 60.0 minutes, the half-life of the compou
Tom [10]
Answer:d. 145 minutes

Half-life is the time needed for a radioactive to decay half of its weight. The formula to find the half-life would be:

Nt= N0 (1/2)^ t/h

Nt= the final mass
N0= the initial mass
t= time passed
h= half-life

If 25.0% of the compound decomposes that means the final mass would be 75% of initial mass. Then the half-live for the compound would be:
Nt= N0 (1/2)^ t/h
75%= 100% * (1/2)^ (60min/h)
3/4= 1/2^(60min/h)
log2 3/4 = log2 1/2^(60min/h)
0.41503749928 = -60min/h
h= -60 min / 0.41503749928= 144.6min

What is the molar mass of citric acid (c6h8o7) and baking soda (nahco3)?
Rufina [12.5K]

The molar mass of citric acid (c6h8o7) is 192.124g/mol

The molar mass of baking soda (nahco3) is 84.007g/mol

The molar mass of a chemical compound is defined as the mass of a sample of that compound divided by the amount of substance in that sample and is measured in moles. Molar mass is a mass property, not a molecular property of a substance.

Molar mass is the mass of 1 mole of the sample. To find the molar mass, add up the atomic masses (atomic weights) of all the atoms in the molecule. Use the masses listed in the periodic table or atomic weight table to determine the atomic mass of each element.
