Camera is an optical instrument that forms images in a way most like human eyes.

Explanation:

The eye consists of a small spherical globe of about 2 cm in diameter, which is free to rotate under the control of 6 extrinsic muscles. Light enters the eye through the transparent cornea, passes through the aqueous humor, the lens, and the vitreous humor, where it finally forms an image on the retina.

In case of a digital camera, CCD is used known as charged coupled device. CCD is actually in the shape of array or a rectangular grid. It is like a matrix with each cell in the matrix contains a censor that senses the intensity of photon. When light falls on the object , the light reflects back after striking the object and allowed to enter inside the camera which is then stored by CCD in the form of electric signals.

Similarities between eye and a camera:

Cornea and Lens - The cornea is the “cap” of the eye. This transparent (like clear jelly) structure sits to the front of the eye. The lens of a camera is also transparent (glass) and sits at the front of the body.  Both allows light to enter and have spherical curvature.

Iris and aperture -The aperture is to the camera as the iris is to the eye. Both control the amount of light allowed to enter the eye or camera.

Retina and Film - The retina sits at the back of the eye and collects the light reflected from the surrounding environment to form the image. The same task in the camera is performed either by film or sensors in digital cameras.

3 small identical balls have charges -3×10^-12 ,8×10^-12 and 4×10^-12 find the charge
Norma-Jean [14]

Answer:

  3×10^-12 C

Explanation:

The total of the three charges is ...

   (-3 +8 +4)×10^-12 C = 9×10^-12 C

Assuming the charge is equally distributed between the balls when they are brought in contact, the charge on each ball will be ...

  (9/3)×10^-12 C = 3×10^-12 C

Gravitational energy can be negative?
AlladinOne [14]

answer:

yes

explanation:

At a separation of the surface of Earth (r=6400km) gravity wants pull the test mass closer and closer. ... So the work done by gravity is NEGATIVE. The gravitational potential energy is negative because us trying to do the opposite of what gravity wants needs positive energy.

Answer:

In a concave mirror, if an object is located between the center of curvature and the focal point, what is the best way to describe the image formed? Real, inverted, and smaller than the object. Real, inverted, and larger than the object. light rays travel parallel to each other, no other image is formed.

The SAME amount of current I passes through three different resistors. R2 has twice the cross-sectional area and the same length
Snezhnost [94]

Answer:

resistor R₂ has the lowest current density

Explanation:

The current density is

          j = I / A

now let's analyze each case

a) R₂ has an area 2A₀ and a length L₀ that R₁

b) R₃ has an area Ao and a length 3L₀ what R₁

we can see that all the area is given in relation to the resistance R₁

the current density in R₁ is

         j₁ = I / A₀

the current density in R₂

         j₂ = I / 2A₀

         j₂ 2 = ½ I/A₀

the current density in R₃

         j₃ = I / A₀

         j₂ < j₁ = j₃

therefore resistor R₂ has the lowest current density
