Ammonia is a base because it accepts H^+ ions and Hydrochloric acid is an acid because it looses H^+ ions.

So, the reaction between them, leads to the formation of a salt.

The equation for the reaction of ammonia and hydrochloric acid follows:

HCl+NH_3\rightarrow NH_4Cl

By Stoichiometry of the reaction:

1 mole of hydrochloric acid reacts with 1 mole of ammonia to produce 1 mole of ammonium chloride.

Hence, the salt formed is NH_4Cl
