In the two-slit experiment, monochromatic light of frequency 5.00 × 1014 Hz passes through a pair of slits separated by 2.20 × 1

0-5 m. (c = 3.00 × 108 m/s) (a) At what angle away from the central bright spot does the third bright fringe past the central bright spot occur? (b) At what angle does the second dark fringe occur?

Explanation:

It is given that,

Frequency of monochromatic light, f=5\times 10^{14}\ Hz

Separation between slits, d=2.2\times 10^{-5}\ m

(a) The condition for maxima is given by :

d\ sin\theta=n\lambda

For third maxima,

\theta=sin^{-1}(\dfrac{n\lambda}{d})

\theta=sin^{-1}(\dfrac{n\lambda}{d})

\theta=sin^{-1}(\dfrac{nc}{fd})

\theta=sin^{-1}(\dfrac{3\times 3\times 10^8\ m/s}{5\times 10^{14}\ Hz\times 2.2\times 10^{-5}\ m})

\theta=4.69^{\circ}

(b) For second dark fringe, n = 2

d\ sin\theta=(n+1/2)\lambda

\theta=sin^{-1}(\dfrac{5\lambda}{2d})

\theta=sin^{-1}(\dfrac{5c}{2df})

\theta=sin^{-1}(\dfrac{5\times 3\times 10^8}{2\times 2.2\times 10^{-5}\times 5\times 10^{14}})

\theta=3.90^{\circ}

Hence, this is the required solution.

What has a larger capacitance, an aluminum sphere with a 10 cm diameter or one with a 100 cm diameter? Question 16 options: 10 c
creativ13 [48]

\boxed{\sf C=\dfrac{Q}{V}}

But

\boxed{\sf \Delta V_{R_2\to R_1}={\displaystyle{\int}^{R_1}_{R_2}}dV=-{\displaystyle{\int}^{R_1}_{R_2}}\dfrac{kQ}{r^2}dR}

  • Hence higher the radius lower the voltage
  • Lower the voltage higher the capacitance .

Using planck's constant and a wavelength of 656e-9 what is the energy of the photon
lbvjy [14]

Answer:

3.03e-19 J

Explanation:

Use the formula E = hc/λ

Where:

h (Planck's constant) = 6.626e-34 J*s

c (speed of light, constant) = 3.00e8 m/s

λ (wavelength) = 656e-9 m

E = energy (in Joules)

E = (6.626e-34 * 3.00e8) / 656e-9 = 3.03018293e-19 = 3.03e-19 J
