Answer: 4) Negative particles are embedded in atoms

Explanation:

The plum pudding model of the atom depicts the atom as a solid sphere, positvely charged (pudding), and the negative charge, electrons (plums) uniformly distributed in the solid sphere (embedded in the pudding).

This is the electrons were distributed uniformly inside in a whole positive charge, just like plums in a pudding.

The scientist J.J. Thompson firts proposed this model to explain the neutral nature of the matter after the discovery of the electron.

Later, by 1911, the scientist Ernest Rutherforf, came out with the nuclear model of the atom as result of the gold foil experiment, which leat to think that the atom was mostly empty space (electrons surrounding a tiny nucleus).

The answer to this question would be: 1) Electrons occupy regions of space

In plum pudding model, the atoms are drawn as pudding and the negative particle is spread around the pudding. In this model, the electron is spread but not moving in orbit. Rutherford model that comes afterward is the one that says most of the atoms is empty space.

Trans fats: Think about how the prefix trans- is used in naming alkenes.
wel
In an alkene, cis and trans isomers are possible because the double band is rigid, cannot rotate, has groups attached to the carbons of the double bond that are fixed relative to each other, and only occurs with double bonds-possibility that molecule will have different geometries; two different molecules with slightly different properties.
-Trans-2 ends of chain across the double bond.
While naming Cis-Trans isomers the prefix cis or trans are placed in front of the alkene name when there are cis-trans isomers.

bekas [8.4K]

Answer:

3.4\times 10^3 eggs are produces are in a month.

Explanation:

Quantity of eggs produced by the chicken in a month = 284 dozens

1 dozen = 12 eggs

Number of eggs in a month:

284 dozens = 284\times 12 eggs =3,408 eggs\approx 3.4\times 10^3 eegs

3.4\times 10^3 eggs are produces are in a month.

The temperature program for a separation starts at a temperature of 50 °C and ramps the temperature up to 270 °C at a rate of 10
Troyanec [42]

Answer:

The correct answer to the question is Option E (Strongly retained analytes will give broad peaks).

Explanation:

The other options are true because:

A. Initial temp = 50 °C

 Final temp = 270 °C

Differences in temp = 270 - 50 = 220°C

Rate = 10 °C/minute.

So, at 10 °C/minute,

total of 220°C /10 °C = number of minutes required to reach the final temp.

220/10 = 22 minutes

B. A column has a minimum and maximum use temperature. Solutes that are already retained would remain stationary while temperatures are low. This would only change if there is an increase in temperature. Heat transfers more energy to the liquid which would make the solute interact with the column phase.

C. Weakly retained solutes may contain larger molecules, will separate by absorbing into the solvent early in separation making the mobile phase separates out into its components on the stationary phase.

D. Retained solute's vapor pressure is higher at higher temperatures making it possible for particle to escape more from the solute when the temperature is high than when it is low.
