To solve this we assume that the gas inside the balloon is an ideal gas. Then, we can use the ideal gas equation which is expressed as PV = nRT. At a constant pressure and number of moles of the gas the ratio T/V is equal to some constant. At another set of condition of temperature, the constant is still the same. Calculations are as follows:

T1 / V1 = T2 / V2

V2 = T2 x V1 / T1

V2 = 308.15 x 7.80 / 698.15

V2 =3.44 L

The image shows sedimentary rock layers with index
vichka [17]

Layer 2 and layer 9 are the same relative age.

Explanation:

The statement that best describes the rock layers is that Layer 2 and layer 9 are the same relative age..

The relative age is used in placing sedimentary rocks in order of their occurrence.

To do this, we apply the sedimentary laws.

The ones applicable here are:

 • Principle of superposition states that in an undisturbed sequence, the oldest layer is at the base and youngest on top.
 • Principle of cross cutting states that a fault and intrusion are younger than the rocks they cut through.
 • Principle of fossil and fauna succession states that fossils and fauna succeed on another in a determinable form.

We see that layers 2 and 9 have the same fossil and are the same lithological units.

What is the equilibrium equation for the dissociation of formic acid in water? hcooh (aq) + h2o (l) ⇌ h3o+ (aq) + hcoo- (aq)?
Pani-rosa [81]
Formic acid when in water would dissociate into ions just like any acids. It would dissociate into the hydrogen ion and the formate ion. The equilibrium dissociation equation would be written as:

HCOOH (aq) + H2O (l) ⇌ H+ (aq) + HCOO- (aq)

Formic acid is a weak acid which means that when in aqueous solution it does not completely dissociate into its corresponding ions. Only a certain amount that would be dissociated so in the solution there will be HCOOH, HCOO- and H+ molecules. It is also known as Methanoic acid and an important substance for the synthesis of a number of substances. It is naturally occurring in ants.

Calculate the number of atoms of sodium in a 4.5-gram sample
allochka39001 [22]

Answer:

1.18×10²³ atoms.

Explanation:

From Avogadro's hypothesis, we understood that 1 mole of any substance contains 6.02×10²³ atoms.

From the above concept, 1 mole of sodium also contains 6.02×10²³ atoms.

1 mole of sodium = 23 g.

Thus,

23 g of sodium contains 6.02×10²³ atoms.

Therefore, 4.5 g of sodium will contain = (4.5 × 6.02×10²³)/23 = 1.18×10²³ atoms.

From the above calculation,

4.5 g of sodium contains 1.18×10²³ atoms.
