The partial pressure of the neon gas is 0.48 atm in the flask with total pressure of 1.87 atm.

Explanation:

Data given:

total pressure of all the gases in the flask = 1.87 atm

partial pressure of krypton gas = 0.77 atm

partial pressure of helium gas = 0.62 atm.

partial pressure of neon =?

from the data given in question it is deduced that neon gas is also present in the flask.

from the Dalton's law of pressure:

Ptotal = pkrypton + phelium +p neon (p= partial pressure of individual gases)

pneon = Ptotal - pkrypton + p helium

pneon = 1.87 - (0.77 + 0.62)

pneon = 1.87 - 1.39

pneon = 0.48 atm

The partial pressure of the neon gas is 0.48 atm in the flask.
