You've got the whole answer right there in your question. The angle of incidence is the angle between the line normal to the surface and the beam of light coming into the surface. (Normal means perpendicular.)

It's the angle made by the incident ray when it's perpendicular to the surface. (Perpendicular lines are the lines that form a graph or like a 90-degree angle)

A group of hikers hear an echo 3.3 s after they shout. The temperature is 20◦C.
romanna [79]

Answer:

560 m

Explanation:

The speed of sound in air is approximately:

v ≈ v₀ + 0.6T

where v₀ is the speed of sound at 0°C (273 K) in m/s, and T is the temperature in Celsius.

The speed of sound at 20°C at that altitude is:

v ≈ 327 + 0.6(20)

v ≈ 339 m/s

The sound travels from the hikers to the mountain and back again, so it travels twice the distance.

339 m/s = 2d / 3.3 s

2d = 1118.7 m

d = 559.35 m

Rounding, the mountain is approximately 560 m away.

An unlabeled hierarchical diagram of various astronomical bodies is shown below. The labels A, B, C, and D can be used to repres
Paha777 [63]
A) The biggest astronomical object is the Universe, which contains billions of galaxies among which there is the Milky Way.
The Milky Way contains thousands of planetary systems, among which the Solar System.
The Solar System contains many planets (but only one star, the Sun), among which there is Earth.
Therefore you can label:
A = Universe, B = Milky Way, C = Solar system, D = Earth

b) Given what we said before, you could label D also any other planet in the Solar System, therefore you can choose among Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, and Neptune.
