Answer:atomic mass, neutrons in the nucleus

Explanation: because I remember from when I took honors chemistry last year we learned about this and it’s called the atomic mass when looking at an atom and the neutrons in the nucleus are effected by it.

what is the molar mass of a gaseous flouride of sulfur containing 70.4% F and having a density of approximately 4.5g/L at 20 deg
zlopas [31]

Answer:

The molar mass is 180.2 g/mol

Explanation:

<u>Step 1:</u> Data given

% of F = 70.4 %

Density = 4.5 g/L

Temperature = 20 °C

Pressure = 1 atm

<u>Step 2:</u> Calculate the number of moles

PV = nRT

 ⇒ with P = the pressure = 1.00 atm

⇒ with V = the volume = Assume this is 1L

⇒ with n = the number of moles = TO BE DETERMINED

⇒ R = the gas constant = 0.08206 L*atm/K*mol

⇒ T = the temperature : 20°C = 293 Kelvin

1 atm*1L= n(0.08206 L-atm/mol-K)*(293 K)

n = 0.04159 moles

<u>Step 3</u>: Calculate molar mass

Molar mass = Mass / moles

4.5 grams / 0.04159 moles = 108.2 g/mol

<u>Step 4:</u> Calculate moles of F

Moles = Mass / molar mass

Moles F = 70.4 g / 19 g/mol

Moles F =  3.70 moles

Moles S = 29.6g / 32.07 g/mol

Moles S = 0.923 moles S

<u>Step 5:</u> Divide by the smallest amount of moles

F = 3.70 / 0.923 = 4

S = 0.923 / 0.923 = 1

The empirical formula is SF4

The molar mass of SF4 = 32.07 + 4*19 = 108.07 g/mol

This means the empirical formula is the same as the molecular formula SF4

The molar mass is 180.2 g/mol

prohojiy [21]

Answer:

Step 1-Light Dependent. CO2 and H2O enter the leaf.

Step 2- Light Dependent. Light hits the pigment in the membrane of a thylakoid, splitting the H2O into O2.

Step 3- Light Dependent. ...

Step 4-Light Dependent.

Step 5-Light independent.

Al2O3 would be typed in as Al2O3 Al2(SO4)3 would be typed in as Al2(SO4)3.
N76 [4]

Answer:

Explanation:

Hello,

We are required to write the chemical formula of the following compounds

1. Calcium nitride = Ca₃N₂

2. Magnesium Phosphide = Mg₃P₂

3. Rubidium Chromate = Rb₂CrO₄

4. Aluminium nitrate = Al(NO₃)₃

5. Ammonium Arsenide = (NH₄)₃As

6. Nickel(ii) nitrite = Ni(NO₂)₂

7. Copper(i)sulfate = Cu₂SO₄

8. Iron(iii)nitrate = Fe(NO₃)₃

9. Manganese(ii)nitrate = Mn(NO₃)₂

The left hand side are the common names when the right hand side are the chemical formula.

12 = 3X X = <br> 7X = 57 X = <br> 11X = 27.7 X =
dybincka [34]

Answer:
1. x=4
2.x=\frac{57}{7}
3.x=\frac{27.7}{11}

Explanation:

Given the following questions:

12=3x
7x=57
11x=27.7

In order to find the answers to these questions, we have to recognize that in order to isolate the variable we need to divide on both sides.

Question one:
12=3x
\frac{3x}{3} =\div3
12\div3=4
x=4

Question two:
7x=57
\frac{7x}{7} =\div7
57\div7=8.14285714=\frac{57}{7}
x=\frac{57}{7}

Question three:
11x=27.7
\frac{11x}{11} \div11
27.7\div11=2.51818182=\frac{27.7}{11}
x=\frac{27.7}{11}

Hope this helps.

Will these changes increase, decrease, or have no effect on the mean free path of the molecules in a gas sample?
lisabon 2012 [21]
According to the kinetic theory, the mean free path is the average distance a single atom or molecule of an element or compound travels with respect with the other atoms during a collision. The greater the mean free path, the more ideal the behavior of a gas molecule is because intermolecular forces are minimum. To understand which factors affect the mean free path, the equation is written below.

l = μ/P * √(πkT/2m), where
l is the mean free path
μ is the viscosity of the fluid
P is the pressure
k is the Boltzmann's constant
T is the absolute temperature
m is the molar mass

So, here are the general effects of the factors on the mean free path:

Mean free path increases when:
1. The fluid is viscous (↑μ)
2. At low pressures (↓P)
3. At high temperatures (↑T)
4. Very light masses (↓m)

The opposite is also true for when the mean free path decreases. Factors that are not found here have little or no effect.
