If a particle has Z = 25 and 23 electrons, what is its charge?
Anton [14]

Answer:- The charge is +2.

Explanations:- Z stands for atomic number. The Z is given as 25 means the atomic number of the element is 25. It has 23 electrons. For a neutral atom the number of electrons is same as the atomic number. Since the number of electrons is less than atomic number, the atom must have lost the electrons.

Number of electrons lost = 25 - 23 = 2

If the element lost electrons then it has positive charge. As, the electrons are lost, the charge is +2.

Use electron configurations to account for the stability of the lanthanide ions Ce⁴⁺ and Eu²⁺.
Citrus2011 [14]

Answer:

Explanation:

The Ce metal has electronic configuration as follows

[Xe] 4f¹5d¹6s²

After losing 4 electrons , it gains noble gas configuration ,. So Ce ⁺⁴ is stable.

Eu has electronic configuration as follows

[ Xe ] 4 f ⁷6s²

[ Xe ] 4 f ⁷

Its outermost orbit contains 2 electrons so Eu²⁺ is stable. Its +3 oxidation state is also stable.

Ce⁺²

When you see or visit grasslands, what do you know about the climate? (Select all that apply.)
Nana76 [90]

When you see or visit grasslands you know that :

 • They have mild to hot summers ( B )
 • They have a lot of precipitation ( A )

Grassland vegetation

Grasslands are a type of vegetation found mostly in areas with favourable weather conditions such as mild summers and right amount of precipitation which provides the grasslands with enough water for proper growth.

Other types of vegetation include :

 • Forest vegetation
 • Tundra and
 • Desert vegetation

Desert vegetation expreciences very hot summers and little precipitation which leads to the scarcity of green vegetation, while forest vegetation expreciences a very high level of precipitation.

Hence we can conclude that When you see or visit grasslands you know that :They have mild to hot summers ,They have a lot of precipitation
