Answer:

250 mL

Explanation:

Density equation:

Density = \frac{mass}{volume}

Variables:

D = density

m = mass

V = volume

Solve:

M = 125 g

D = 0.500 g/mL

V = ?

0.500 g/mL = \frac{125 g}{V}

V = 250 mL

Newton began his academic career in 1667. For how long was he a working scientist? Was he a very productive scientist?
rjkz [21]
Newton's 3 laws are...

inertia: things tend to continue to do what they are doing.

Change: to make something change you need a force to change it. the force needed = the mass times its acceleration

<span> Resistance: When you push on something, it pushes back.

A piece of rocky debris in space has a semi major axis of 45.0 AU. What is its orbital period?
KATRIN_1 [288]

Complete Question

Planet D has a semi-major axis = 60 AU and an orbital period of 18.164 days. A piece of rocky debris in space has a semi major axis of 45.0 AU.  What is its orbital period?

Answer:

The value  is  T_R  = 11.8 \  days

Explanation:

From the question we are told that

   The semi - major axis of the rocky debris  a_R = 45.0\ AU

   The semi - major axis of  Planet D is  a_D  = 60 \  AU

    The orbital  period of planet D is  T_D = 18.164 \  days

Generally from Kepler third law

          T \  \ \alpha \ \ a^{\frac{3}{2} }

Here T is the  orbital period  while a is the semi major axis

So

        \frac{T_D}{T_R}  =  \frac{a^{\frac{3}{2} }}{a_R^{\frac{3}{2} }}

=>     T_R  = T_D *  [\frac{a_R}{a_D} ]^{\frac{3}{2} }

=>     T_R  = 18.164  *  [\frac{ 45}{60} ]^{\frac{3}{2} }

=>      T_R  = 11.8 \  days

Martije has made a slight error in naming a compound monocarbon tetrabromide. What compound is she most likely naming, and what
Alik [6]

Answer: CBr_4 : carbon tetrabromide

Explanation:

CBr_4 is a covalent compound because in this compound the sharing of electrons takes place between carbon and bromine. Both the elements are non-metals. Hence, it will form covalent bond.

The naming of covalent compound is given by:

1. The less electronegative element is written first.

2. The more electronegative element is written second. Then a suffix is added with it. The suffix added is '-ide'.

3. If atoms of an element is greater than 1, then prefixes are added which are 'mono' for 1 atom, 'di' for 2 atoms, 'tri' for 3 atoms and so on.

Hence, the correct name for CBr_4 is carbon tetrabromide.
