Before tackling this problem, be sure you know how to find the antilog of a number using a scientific calculator.
dybincka [34]
<h2>Question:- </h2>

A solution has a pH of 5.4, the determination of [H+].

<h2>Given :- </h2>
  1. pH:- 5.4
  2. pH = - log[H+]

<h2>To find :- concentration of H+</h2>

<h2>Answer:- Antilog(-5.4) or 4× 10-⁶</h2>

<h2>Explanation:- </h2><h3>Formula:- pH = -log H+ </h3>

Take negative to other side

-pH = log H+

multiple Antilog on both side

(Antilog and log cancel each other )

Antilog (-pH) = [ H+ ]

New Formula :- Antilog (-pH) = [+H]

Now put the values of pH in new formula

Antilog (-5.4) = [+H]

we can write -5.4 as (-6+0.6) just to solve Antilog

Antilog ( -6+0.6 ) = [+H]

Antilog (-6) × Antilog (0.6) = [+H]

Antilog (-6) = {10}^{ - 6} , \\ Antilog (0.6) = 4

put the value in equation

{10}^{ - 6} \times 4 = [H+] \\ 4 \times {10}^{ - 6} = [H+]

What are similarities between global warming and the greenhouse effect
n200080 [17]
The greenhouse effect is rightly called that because greenhouses allow heat to enter, but doesn't allow heat to leave, which warms plants.

On earth however, it's much bigger. Our own atmosphere acts similarly to this; it allows heat in, but doesn't allow it to leave which heats up the planet and causes global warming.

Identify reagents necessary to convert cyclohexane into 1,3-cylohexadiene: notice that the starting material has no leaving grou
Vinvika [58]
<span>1,3-cylohexadiene i synthesized starting from cyclohexane in following 4 steps.

1) Free Radical Substitution Rxn:
Halogenation of cyclohexane in the presence of UV yield chlorocyclohexane.

2) Elimination Rxn: Dehydrohalogenation of chlorocyclohexane yields cyclohexene.

3) Halogenation of Cyclohexene (Electrophillic Addition Rxn) gives 1,2-dihalocyclohexane.

4) Elemination Rxn: When dibromocyclohexane is treated with KOH and heated it gives 1,3-cyclohexadiene as shown below,</span>
