The basic idea of an electric motor is really simple: you put electricity into it at one end and an axle (metal rod) rotates at the other end giving you the power to drive a machine of some kind. Other kinds of electric motors. Large AC motors (used in things like factory machines) work in a slightly different way: they pass alternating current through opposing pairs of magnets to create a rotating magnetic field, which "induces" (creates) a magnetic field in the motor's rotor, causing it to spin around. Basically magnets.

How much water would I need to add to 500 mL of a 2.4 M KCl solution to make a 1.0 M solution?
GalinKa [24]

Answer:

700 mL of water

Explanation:

This is the perfect example of dilation calculations. Along with this concept we have a formula c = n ( solute ) / V ( solution ). Let us first solve for n by changing this equation to isolate the solute,

n ( KCL ) = 2.4 mol / L * 500 * 10 ^ - 3 L,

n ( KCL ) = 1.2 moles ( KCL )

Knowing the amount of moles of potassium chloride, we have to now identify how much is present in the target solution,

V = 1 .2 moles /  ( 1.0 moles / L )

V = 1.2 L = 1200 mL

_______________________________________________________

Vadded = 1200 - 500 = 700 mL

The chance of their baby being blue is a 25% chance. There is a 50% chance that their baby will carry the trait but not have the feature. Since SpongeBob is heterozygus he carries the blue trait so his kid has a 50% chance of being blue from his genes. SpongeSusie is blue so she has a 100% of her child being blue.

2.40 g of NH4Cl is added to 19.4 g of water. Calculate the molality of the solution.
Sholpan [36]
Molality is the moles of solute per kg of solvent.

Moles of NH₄Cl = 2.4 / (14 + 4 x 1 + 35.5)
= 0.0448 mole

Molality = 0.0448 / (19.4 / 1000)
= 2.31 m

How many dimes could you trade for 360 pesos? $1 = 1500 pesos.
sveta [45]

Answer:

The correct option is (d).

Explanation:

It is given that,

1$ = 1500 pesos

We need to convert 360 pesos into dimes

We can convert 360 pesos to dollars as follows:

360\ \text{pesos}=\$\dfrac{1}{1500}\times 360\\\\=$0.24

360 pesos is equal to $0.24

Also, 1 dollar = 10 dimes

We can covert 0.24 dollar to dimes as follows :

0.24 dollar = 10 × 0.24 dimes

0.24 dollar = 2.4 dimes

or

360 pesos = 2.4 dimes
