The type of substance - substances diffuse more quickly through gases than through liquids. This is because the particles in a gas are more spread out and move faster than the particles in a liquid. Temperature - the hotter the gas or liquid, the faster diffusion happens.

.. ⬇️

1) For gases there is more space. ... The distance between the constituent particles in gases becomes greater than in liquids, resulting in diffusion faster in gases than in liquids. Therefore, gas particles have higher kinetic energy and travel more rapidly.

2) For diffusion to work, the particles must be able to move around. This means that diffusion does not happen in solids – the particles in a solid can only vibrate and cannot move from place to place.

Answer:

1: Gas molecules have higher kinetic energy and are smaller than liquid molecules. In gases, the space between constituent particles is higher than in liquids.

2:It is necessary for the particles to be able to move about. Diffusion does not occur in solids because the particles in a solid can only vibrate and cannot migrate from one location to another.

In vacuum, the speed of light is c= 2.998 x 108m/s. However, the speed generally decreases when light travels through media othe
Kaylis [27]

Answer:

Light of wavelength 200 nm will have lowest frequency in while traveling through diamond.

Explanation:

Speed of the light in vacuum = c

Relation between speed of light , wavelength (λ) and frequency (ν);

\nu =\frac{c}{\lambda }

Speed of light in a medium = c' = c/n

\nu =\frac{c'}{\lambda }=\frac{c}{n\times \lambda }...[1]

Where : n = refractive index of a medium

So, the medium with greater value of refractive index lower the speed of light to greater extent.

From [1] , we can see that frequency of light is inversely proportional to the refractive index of the medium :

\nu \propto \frac{1}{n}

This means that higher the value of refractive index lower will be the value of frequency of light in that medium or vice-versa.

According to question, light of wavelength 200 nm will have lowest frequency in while traveling through diamond because refractive index of diamond out of the given mediums is greatest.

Increasing order of refractive indices:

H_2

Decreasing order of frequency of light 210 nm in these medium :

H_2>H_2O>CCL_4>\text{Silicon oil}> Diamond

PLZ HELP I WILL REWARD BRAINLIEST IF U ANSWER CORRECTLY WITH A REASON WHY :)
Semmy [17]

Answer:

The answer is dipole-dipole forces.

Explanation:

The molecule is composed of Sulfur and Oxygen, which are both elements with high electronegativities. As a result, this is a covalent bond, as they are both nonmetals. Since Sulfur has a partially positive charge, and Oxygen has a partially negative charge, it appears that the substance is polar, meaning that there are different charges within the atom. Of the answer choices, Dipole-Dipole forces are the only ones that involve polar substances, and they different charges, especially since there is no hydrogen indicating a hydrogen bond, and London forces contain nonpolar substances with an overall charge of the molecule.

Can someone help me with independent variables and dependant variables? I posted a question with the picture on it...please some
Naddik [55]

Answer:

independant=variable that has changed

dependant=variable affected by the change

water=independant, because if you put too much water the dependant that depends on water could die or too little dependant can die (dependant=plants)
