The enthalpy tell us about the heat that may be absorbed or evolved in a reaction. The ethalpy of this reaction is -100 kJ/mol.

What is enthalpy?

The term enthalpy deals with the heat that is absorbed or emitted in a reaction. The reaction equation is; HNO3 + KOH ----> KNO3 + H2O

Number of moles of HNO3 = 0.5 M * 50/1000 L = 0.025 moles

Number of moles of KOH= 0.5 M * 50/1000 L = 0.025 moles

Since the reaction is 1:1, then heat evolved = - (2500 J * 10^-3)/0.025 moles

= -100 kJ/mol

Cuantos gramos de nitrato de potasio (KNO3) son necesarias para preparar 800ml de solucion al 12 % m/v
maxonik [38]

Answer:

96 g

Explanation:

msto = %m/V * Vsol / 100    (2)

Ahora solo nos queda sustituir los valores dados y resolver:

msto = 12 * 800 / 100

msto = 96 g de KNO₃

Espero te sirva.

Scientists use what properties to help them identify and classify matter
Volgvan
Scientists use the physical and chemical properties to help them identify and classify matter. These physical and chemical properties are in a macro-perspective, in which these matter contains compounds, elements and atoms. Hence, matter can be classified in various ways,
1. Atomic number either atomic mass each element has
2. By substance of that matter either pure substance or mixed substance
3. If they cannot reduce a certain substance into a much smaller quantified atomic structure then they they’ll use (2) to identify and classify it.

Mark the statement as true or false All of the proposed ideas by Dalton, Thompson, and Rutherford are still used in the modern t
kvv77 [185]

False

Although we use many of their ideas to describe atoms today, such as the existence of a tiny, dense nucleus in an atom (proposed by Rutherford), or the notion that all atoms of an element are identical (proposed by Dalton), some of their ideas have been rejected by the modern theory of the atom.

For example, Thompson came up with the plum pudding model to describe an atom, which resembled a sphere of positive charge with electrons embedded in it. We know now, however, that atoms are mostly empty space with a tiny, dense nucleus.

Another example is Dalton's atomic theory, which stated that atoms are indivisible particles. However, this was disproved by the discovery of subatomic particles.
