The momentum of daemon and his cart as he rolls immediately after they are no longer in contact 81.69kgm/s.

What is momentum ?

In Newtonian physics, an object's linear momentum, translational momentum, or simply momentum is defined as the product of its mass and velocity. It has both a magnitude and a direction, making it a vector quantity. If an object has mass m and velocity v, then its momentum p is given by

p = mv

Therefore, the Newton-second may be used as the unit for momentum (Ns). In the CGS system, the unit of momentum is the gram-centimeters per second (gcm/s), where the mass is measured in grams and the velocity in centimeters per second.

Total momentum of the system = momentum of christine's cart + momentum of daemon's carttotal momentum of the system

= 37.8 kgm/s + 43.89kgm/s

= 81.69kgm/s.

A hot–air balloon is moving at a speed of 10.0 meters/second in the +x–direction. The balloonist throws a brass ball in the +x–d
yulyashka [42]

Option (D) is correct.

The balloon lands horizontally at a distance of 420 m from a point where it as released.

Explanation:

Velocity of air balloon along +X axis =10 m/s

velocity of ball=4 m/s along + X axis

the velocity of balloon gets added to the velocity of ball. So the resultant velocity of the balloon=10+4 = 14 m/s

time taken= 30 s

The distance traveled is given by d= v t

d= 14 (30)

d= 420 m

Thus the balloon lands horizontally at a distance of 420 m from a point where it as released.

Bowen’s reaction series illustrates relations between:
Finger [1]

C. Temperature, chemical composition and mineral structure

Explanation:

The Bowen's reaction series illustrates the relationship between temperature, chemical composition and mineral structure.

The series is made up of a continuous and discontinuous end through which magmatic composition can be understood as temperature changes.

 • The left part is the discontinuous end while the right side is the continuous series.
 • From the series, we understand that a magmatic body becomes felsic as it begins to cool to lower temperature.
 • A magma at high temperature is ultramafic and very rich in ferro-magnesian silicates which are the chief mineral composition of olivine and pyroxene. These minerals are predominantly found in mafic- ultramafic rocks. Also, we expect to find the calcic-plagioclase at high temperatures partitioned in the magma.
 • At a relatively low temperature, minerals with frame work structures begins to form . The magma is more enriched with felsic minerals and late stage crystallization occurs here.

5. What is the density of 4.5 mL of a liquid that has a mass of 1.3 grams?
antoniya [11.8K]

Answer:

A. 0.289g/mL

Explanation:

Using the equation for density which is d = m/v or density = mass/volume, we input 1.3g/4.5mL and get 0.289g/mL.
