Answer:

3.735×10⁻⁶ N

Explanation:

From newton' s law of universal gravitation,

F = Gmm'/r² .............................. Equation 1

Where F = Gravitational force between the person and the refrigerator, m = mass of the person, m' = mass of the refrigerator, r = distance between the person and the refrigerator. G = gravitational universal constant.

Given: m = 70 kg, m' = 200 kg, r = 0.5 m

Constant: G = 6.67×10⁻¹¹ Nm²/kg².

F = (6.67×10⁻¹¹×70×200)/0.5²

F = 93380×10⁻¹¹/0.25

F = 373520×10⁻¹¹

F = 3.735×10⁻⁶ N

Hence the force between the person and the refrigerator =  3.735×10⁻⁶ N

What is the amount of electric field passing through a surface called? A. Electric flux.B. Gauss’s law.C. Electricity.D. Charge
rjkz [21]

Answer:

A. Electric flux

Explanation:

Electric flux is the rate of flow of the electric field through a given area (see ). Electric flux is proportional to the number of electric field lines going through a virtual surface.

Electric flux has SI units of volt metres (V m), or, equivalently, newton metres squared per coulomb (N m2 C−1). Thus, the SI base units of electric flux are kg·m3·s−3·A−1.

Design a solution that can monitor and minimize the melting of sea ice caused by human activity. Use evidence and data to suppor
Allisa [31]

Answer:

Carbon dioxide emissions from fossil fuel burning should be minimized at all cost. This is because the gases gotten when the carbons from hydrocarbons react with air(oxygen). This gas erodes the ozone layer which makes the melting of ice caps faster due to increased amount of heat radiations on the earth. This is the only best and permanent solution to the reduction of the amount of heat rays on the earth which is a global problem.Substances which reflects back the sunrays could also be put into the sea to prevent the melting of the ice caps.

A cart with mass 340 g moving on a frictionless linear air track at an initial speed of 1.2 m/s undergoes an elastic collision w
patriot [66]

Answer:

A) m2 = 98.71g

B) v_f2 = 1.86 m/s

Explanation:

We are given;

Mass of cart; m1 = 340g

Initial speed; v_i1 = 1.2 m/s

Final speed; v_f1 = 0.66 m/s

A)Since the collision is elastic, we can simply apply the conservation of momentum to get;

m1•(v_i1) = m1•(v_f1) + m2•(v_f2) - - - - - (eq1)

From conservation of kinetic energy, we have;

(1/2)m1•(v_i1)² = (1/2)m1•(v_f1)² + (1/2)m2•(v_f2)² - - - - eq(2)

Let's make v_f2 the subject in eq 2;

Thus,

v_f2 = √([m1•(v_i1)² - m1•(v_f1)²]/m2)

v_f2 = √([m1((v_i1)² - (v_f1)²)]/m2)

Let's put this for v_f2 in eq1 to obtain;

m2 = {m1((v_i1) - (v_f1))}/√([m1((v_i1)² - (v_f1)²)]/m2)

Let's square both sides to give;

(m2)² = {m1•m2((v_i1) - (v_f1))²}/([(v_i1)² - (v_f1)²]

This gives;

m2 = {m1((v_i1) - (v_f1))²}/([(v_i1)² - (v_f1)²]

Plugging in the relevant values to get;

m2 = {340((1.2) - (0.66))²}/([(1.2)² - (0.66)²]

m2 = 98.71g

B) from equation 1, we have;

m1•(v_i1) = m1•(v_f1) + m2•(v_f2)

Making v_f2 the subject, we have;

v_f2 = m1[(v_i1) - (v_f1)]/m2

Plugging in the relevant values to get;

v_f2 = 340[(1.2) - (0.66)]/98.71

v_f2 = 1.86 m/s
