A rolling (without slipping) hoop with a radius of 0.27 m and a mass of 1.80 kg climbs an incline. At the bottom of the incline,
Irina-Kira [14]

Answer:

Explanation:

Angular speed of hoop ω = v / r

= 8.90 / .27

= 32.96 rad / s

Translational kinetic energy = 1/2 mv²

= .5 x 1.8 x 8.9²

= 71.29 J

Rotational kinetic energy = 1/2 Iω²

= 1/2 mR²x ω²

= 1/2 mv²

= 71.29 J

Total kinetic energy

= 2 x 71.29

= 142.58 J

This energy will be used to attain height

If h be the height attained

mgh = 142.58

h = 142.58 / mg

= 142.58 / 1.8 x 9.8

= 8.08 m .

How can you tell which part of the graph resulted from the fastest speed in a d vs. t plot?
Art [367]

Answer:

Wherever the slope is increasing or decreasing the sharpest.

Explanation:

In a distance v time graph, the slope is the speed. So the sharper the slope, the faster the object is going.

PLEASE HELP!! At what temperature will silver have a resistivity that is four times the resistivity of tungsten at room temperat
Svetach [21]
Consider 20 deg.C. as room temperature.

From tables,
Silver has a resistivity of  1.6*10^-8 ohm-m at 20 deg.C, and it increases by 0.0038 ohm-m per deg.K increase.
Therefore if the temperature rise above 20 deg.C is T, then silver will have resistivity of
1.6*10^-8(1 + 0.0038T) ohm-m

At room temperature, the resistivity of tungsten (from tables) is 5.6*10^-8.

The resistivity of silver will be 4 times that of tungsten (at room temperature) when
1.6*10^-8(1 + 0.0038T) = 4*5.6*10^-8
1 + 0.0038T = 14
T = 13/.0038 = 3421 deg.K approx

Answer: 20 + 3421 = 3441 °C

On a sunny day at the beach, the land heats up faster than the ocean. The warmer air over the land rises, so the cooler air over
lisov135 [29]
As opposed to what is mentioned as the sea breeze, what was being asked to describe is what is known to be as land breeze. If the sea breeze is a wind that comes from the sea to the land, then the land breeze is the wind that comes from the land going to the sea. The same concept applies. What happens is that when the warmer air over the ocean rises and the cooler air over land rushes in to replace the warmer air, the movement of the air comes at still and creates the breeze. The directions of the wind would also go towards the sea.
