Answer: (4)

Explanation: Endothermic reactions are defined as the reactions in which energy of the product is greater than the energy of the reactants. The total energy is absorbed in the form of heat and \Delta H for the reaction comes out to be positive.

Labeling of the parts in the diagram:

A represents the reactants.

B represents the products.

(1) represents the potential energy of the reactants.

(4) represents the potential energy of the products.

(2) represents the activation energy for the forward reaction.

(3) Represents the total enthalpy change for the reaction.

I say Answer choice A because it is a straight line and it hasn't gone under all those reactions yet.

What are dipoles, and what is the difference between a natural dipole and an induced dipole?
Tasya [4]

Answer:

See explanation below.

Explanation:

Dipoles are molecules that have partial charges. It happens because of the difference in electronegativity of the elements. This property is the tendency that the atom has to take the electron to it, so, in the covalent bond, the shared pair of electrons is easily found at the more electronegativity atom, and so, it has a partial negative charge, and the other, a partial positive charge. This is a natural dipole.

If the difference of electronegativity is 0, or extremely close to 0, then the molecule is nonpolar, and so the molecule doesn't have partial charges. But, to be joined together and form the substance, the partial charge must be induced, so it's an induced dipole.

Calcium’s atomic number is 20. it forms ions with 18 electrons. what is the electrical charge of a calcium ion?
Gnom [1K]
It would be a positive charge because it lost two electrons, if the charge was neutral it would be the same amount of protons and electrons, if the charge was negative the electrons would be 20 instead of 18. So in this case it is positive.

CAN SOMEONE PLEASE HELP ME ASAP PLEASEE ANYBODY LITERALLY ANYONE OUT THERE PLEASE
IgorC [24]

Answer:

Electrons

Explanation:

Atoms can combine together and share electrons between them. Atoms that share electrons are linked to each other in a form, called a molecule that is in a lower energy state than either of the separate atoms alone.
