Answer:

The halogens are extremely reactive, whilst the noble gases are mainly inert.

Only some noble gases tend to form compounds, such as xenon and krypton. However, some like helium, almost have no compounds at all. Noble gases also have octet rule shells, which causes the little reactivity associated with them. To form bonds with noble gases, a lot of energy is required to form those bonds. Halogens, on the other hand, are extremely reactive. Compounds like chlorine and fluorine must be stored carefully, as they will oxidise anything that they can find, just to get one extra electron to get an octet configuration.

Hope this helps :)

A weak acid (ha) has a pka of 4.001. If a solution of this acid has a ph of 4.110, what percentage of the acid is not ionized? (
OverLord2011 [107]

99.9224 % of the acid is not ionized.

____HA + H₂O ⇌ A⁻ + H₃O⁺

I: ___c ________0 ____0

C: _-αc _______+αc __+αc

E: c(1-α) _______αc ___αc

pH = 4.110

[H₃O⁺] = αc = 10^(-4.110) mol/L = 7.76 × 10⁻⁵ mol/L

α = 7.76 × 10⁻⁵

1 – α = 1 - 7.76 × 10⁻⁵ = 0.999 224 = 99.9224 %

What is the formula for lead(ii) phosphate?
Solnce55 [7]

Explanation:

Lead(II) phosphate is an ionic compound with chemical formula Pb3(PO4)2. Lead(II) phosphate is a long-lived electronically neutral reagent chemical.[1] Despite limited tests on humans, it has been identified as a carcinogen based on tests on animals conducted by the EPA.[2] Lead(II) phosphate appears as hexagonal, colorless crystals or as a white powder. Lead(II) phosphate is insoluble in water and alcohol but soluble in Nitric acid (HNO3) and has fixed alkali hydroxides. When lead(II) phosphate is heated for decomposition it emits very toxic fumes containing Lead (Pb) and POx.[3]
