Physics

Answer:

a) {[1.25  1.5  1.75  2.5  2.75]

    [35  30  25  20  15]  }

b) {[1.5  2  40]

    [1.75  3  35]

    [2.25  2  25]

    [2.75  4  15]}

Explanation:

Matrix H: {[1.25  1.5  1.75  2  2.25  2.5  2.75]

                [1  2  3  1  2  3  4]

                [45  40  35  30  25  20  15]}

Its always important to get the dimensions of your matrix right. "Roman Columns" is the mental heuristic I use since a matrix is defined by its rows first and then its column such that a 2 X 5 matrix has 2 rows and 5 columns.

Next, it helps in the beginning to think of a matrix as a grid, labeling your rows with letters (A, B, C, ...) and your columns with numbers (1, 2, 3, ...).

For question a, we just want to take the elements A1, A2, A3, A6 and A7 from matrix H and make that the first row of matrix G. And then we will take the elements B3, B4, B5, B6 and B7 from matrix H as our second row in matrix G.

For question b, we will be taking columns from matrix H and making them rows in our matrix K. The second column of H looks like this:

{[1.5]

[2]

[40]}

Transposing this column will make our first row of K look like this:

{[1.5  2  40]}

Repeating for columns 3, 5 and 7 will give us the final matrix K as seen above.

An object moving in the xy-plane is subjected to the force f⃗ =(2xyı^ 3yȷ^)n, where x and y are in m
Svetllana [295]

The magnitude of the work done by force experience by the object is (2a²b + 3b²)J.

Work done by the force experienced by the object

The magnitude of the work done by force experience by the object is calculated as follows;

W = f.d

where;

  • F is the applied force (2xyi + 3yj), where x and y are in meters
  • d is the displacement of the object = (a, b)

The work done by the force is determined from the dot product of the force and the displacement of the object.

F = (2xyi + 3yj).(a + b)

W = (2abi + 3bj).(ai + bj)

W = (2a²b + 3b²)J

Thus, the magnitude of the work done by force experience by the object is (2a²b + 3b²)J.

The complete question is below:

The particle moves from the origin to the point with coordinates (a, b) by moving first along the x-axis to (a, 0), then parallel to the y-axis.

How much work does the force do?

A proton is moving toward a second, stationary proton. What happens as the protons get closer?
MatroZZZ [7]

Answer:

A. Kinetic energy is converted to electric potential energy, and the proton moves more slowly.

Explanation:

When a moving proton is brought close to a stationary one, the kinetic energy of the moving one is converted to electric potential and the proton moves more slowly.

Kinetic energy is the energy due to the motion of a body. A moving proton will possess this form of energy.

Two protons according to coulombs law will repel each other with an electrostatic force because they both have similar charges. This will increase their electric potential energy of both of them.

Potential energy is the energy at rest of a body. As it increases, the motion of a body will be slower and it will tend towards being stationary.

The aluminum atom______electrons to form an ion.
The ion that is formed is______.
Alchen [17]

The aluminum atom_loses_____electrons to form an ion.

The ion that is formed is_Al³⁺_____.

aluminium has the electronic configuration as 1s² 2s² 2p⁶ 3s² 3p¹

from the electronic configuration , we see that aluminium can attain stability by losing 3 electrons from outer shell.

after losing 3 electrons , the ion formed is given as Al³⁺

hence the correct options to fill in the blanks are lose and Al³⁺
