? Question
mr_godi [17]

A is the answer

In an ozone molecule, the three atoms must be connected, so there must at least be a single bond between them. Place

dots in pairs around the oxygen atoms until each oxygen atom has eight valence electrons, starting with the atoms on the

outside and doing the central atom last if there are enough. Do not exceed the total number of valence electrons

identified in part A. Remember that the dashes between the oxygen atoms, which represent single bonds, each indicate

the presence of two valence electrons

A reaction contains two reactants, A and B. If A is doubled, there will be a greater number of effective collisions between reac
liubo4ka [24]

Answer:

True

Explanation:

The complete question is:

<u><em>"A reaction contains two reactants, A and B. If A is doubled, there will be a greater number of effective collisions between reactants. TRUE FALSE"</em></u>

Collision Theory indicates that chemical reactions take place because molecules, atoms or ions collide with each other.

Furthermore, the molecules must collide effectively, that is, not all reagent collisions lead to product formation. Effective shock means that the reagent molecules have enough kinetic energy at the time of the shock for their bonds to break and product bonds to form. In addition, the molecules of the reagents must be properly oriented for the reaction to take place.

As the concentration increases, the number of shocks increases. In other words, by increasing the concentration of the reactants, the probability of collision between their molecules increases, and therefore the number of effective collisions. So the statement is true-

In what way may drugs be used to affect neurotransmitters?
Orlov [11]
Drugs interfere with the way neurons send, receive, and process signals via neurotransmitters. Some drugs, such as marijuana and heroin, can activate neurons because their chemical structure mimics that of a natural neurotransmitter in the body. This allows the drugs to attach onto and activate the neurons. Although these drugs mimic the brain’s own chemicals, they don’t activate neurons in the same way as a natural neurotransmitter, and they lead to abnormal messages being sent through the network.

Other drugs, such as amphetamine or cocaine, can cause the neurons to release abnormally large amounts of natural neurotransmitters or prevent the normal recycling of these brain chemicals by interfering with transporters. This too amplifies or disrupts the normal communication between neurons.

Consider the reaction below to answer the following questions (4) a. The nucleophile in the reaction is _______ b. The Lewis aci
KATRIN_1 [288]

The question is incomplete, the complete question is shown in the image attached to this answer.

Answer:

a) Br^-

b) FeCl3

c) slower

d) see the first attached image

Explanation:

Aromatic compounds undergo electrophilic substitution sections in the presence of the appropriate electrophile.

In the reaction above, the Br^- nucleophile attacks the Lewis acid FeCl3. Recall that the nitro group is meta directing hence the incoming Br^+ electrophile is directed towards the meta position as shown in the image attached.

Note that the nitro group deactivates the ring towards electrophilic substitution hence the reaction is slower with nitrobenzene than with unsubstituted benzene.
