A pendulum is made of a small sphere of mass 0.250 kg attached to a lightweight string 1.20 m in length. As the pendulum swings

back and forth, the maximum angle that the string makes with the vertical is 34.0∘. Friction can be ignored. At the low point of the sphere's trajectory, what is the kinetic energy of the sphere

Answer:v=2 m/s

Explanation:

Given

Length of string L=1.2 m

mass of pendulum m=0.25 kg

maximum inclination with vertical \theta =34

vertical Rise of Pendulum from its mean position  is given by

\Delta h=L(1-\cos \theta )

Conserving Energy at top and bottom point

Potential Energy of sphere is converted into kinetic energy of sphere

mgL(1-\cos \theta )=\frac{mv^2}{2}

v=\sqrt{2gL(1-\cos \theta )}

v=\sqrt{2\times 9.8\times 1.2(1-\cos 34)}

v=\sqrt{4.021}

v=2 m/s

In an inelastic collision, as compared to an elastic collision, what is to be expected?.
motikmotik
The loss or conservation of kinetic energy is the difference between an elastic and an inelastic collision. Kinetic energy is not preserved in an inelastic collision, and it will change forms into sound, heat, radiation, or another form. The kinetic energy in an elastic collision is preserved and does not change forms.

What is crossing-over in geneitcs and why is it important
slava [35]
Crossing over, or recombination, is the exchange of chromosome segments between nonsister chromatids in meiosis. Crossing over creates new combinations of genes in the gametes that are not found in either parent, contributing to genetic diversity.

a 25 kg object is pushed with a horizontal force of 5 N esat across a table. If the force of friction is 2 N, what is the accele
Julli [10]

Answer:

Apply Newton's second law in the moving direction.

Explanation:

\begin{aligned}F &= ma\\5N-2N &= 25kg\times a\\a & = \frac{3N}{25kg}\\&= 0.12ms^{-2}\end{aligned}

Friction force applies in the opposite direction of motion; as a restriction.
