Answer: Stars are formed in clouds of gas and dust, known as nebulae. Nuclear reactions at the centre (or core) of stars provides enough energy to make them shine brightly for many years. The exact lifetime of a star depends very much on its size.

A sound wave travels in air toward the surface of a freshwater lake and enters into the water. The frequency of the sound does n
Shkiper50 [21]

Answer:

Explanation:

velocity of sound in air at 20⁰C is 343 m /s

velocity of sound in water at 20⁰C is 1481 m /s

The wavelength of the sound is 2.86 m in the air so its frequency

= 343 / 2.86 = 119.93 .

This frequency of  119.93 will remain unchanged in water .

wavelength in water = velocity in water / frequency

= 1481 / 119.93

= 12. 35 m .

All of the following would be questions that could be scientifically investigated except:
dimulka [17.4K]

Answer:

"What is the best advice a parent can give a child?"

Explanation:

The other answers have one clear response. Ex: Orange popsicles melt faster than grape popsicles. That would be a fact.

But parental advice can vary, depending on your opinion. I may say that all parents must teach their children not to talk to strangers, while someone else may say that parents should advice their kids to treat everyone fairly. Nothing can be proven as the only appropriate response.

Hope this helps!

HELP
svet-max [94.6K]

Answer:

Cold Front 3  //  Stationary Front 1  //  Warm Front 2  //  Occluded Front 4

Explanation:

It's simple.  Warm front means the warm air is pressing forward,  which is why it's a warm front.  Stationary Front, meaning they're at a standstill, also makes sense because stationary means not moving.  Then since your last option is Occluded Front, since the others already have an answer, you have no choice but to match 4 with it.  I took the quiz and got the answer right.  :D
