Complete Question

The compete question is shown on the first uploaded question

Answer:

The speed is  v  =  350 \  m/s

Explanation:

From the question we are told that

   The  distance of separation is  d =  4.00 m

  The distance of the listener to the center between the speakers is  I =  5.00 m

  The change in the distance of the speaker is by k = 60 cm = 0.6 \ m

    The frequency of both speakers is f = 700 \ Hz

Generally the distance of the listener to the first speaker is mathematically represented as

       L_1  =  \sqrt{l^2 + [\frac{d}{2} ]^2}

       L_1  =  \sqrt{5^2 + [\frac{4}{2} ]^2}

        L_1  =   5.39 \  m

Generally the distance of the listener to second speaker at its new position is

          L_2  =  \sqrt{l^2 + [\frac{d}{2} ]^2 + k}

       L_2  =  \sqrt{5^2 + [\frac{4}{2} ]^2 + 0.6}

        L_2  =   5.64  \  m

Generally the path difference between the speakers is mathematically represented as

        pD  = L_2 - L_1  =  \frac{n  *  \lambda}{2}

Here \lambda is the wavelength which is mathematically represented as

         \lambda =  \frac{v}{f}

=>    L_2 - L_1  =  \frac{n  *  \frac{v}{f}}{2}

=>    L_2 - L_1  =  \frac{n  *  v}{2f}

=>    L_2 - L_1  =  \frac{n  *  v}{2f}

Here n is the order of the maxima with  value of  n =  1  this because we are considering two adjacent waves

=>    5.64 - 5.39   =  \frac{1  *  v}{2*700}

=>    v  =  350 \  m/s

Is the 3 in the molecule a coefficient, subscript, or element? 3H₂O₂
JulijaS [17]
<span>coefficient

Let's look at the 3 possibilities and see what they are for </span>3H₂O₂ coefficient - This is used to indicate that multiple molecules are used for the formula. In 3H₂O₂ that indicates that we are talking about 3 molecules of H₂O₂ subscript - This is a small number set in a smaller font and placed low to the elements. It indicates the number of each type of atom in the compound. For the formula 3H₂O₂ there are 2 subscripts. Both of them being the number "2" set small and low just after the letters H and O. Those subscripts indicate that there are 2 hydrogen and 2 oxygen atoms per molecule. element - This is the abbreviation for the elements used in the compound. In <span>3H₂O₂</span> there are 2 different elements. H to indicate hydrogen, and O to indicate oxygen.

these are the types of attractions found between molecules. their strength determines the state of the substance at room tempera
Elina [12.6K]
<h2>Answer</h2>

The physical state of the elements depends upon the <u>attraction forces </u>and their <u>kinetic energy</u>.

<h2>Explanation</h2>

The elements or substances are fixed with each other with the help of different chemical forces including ionic bonding, covalent bonding, H- bonding etc. The strength of these forces is also one of the factors that affect their physical natures. For example, covalent or ionic bonds are the strongest bonds than all other bonds and metals that contain these forces are mostly in solid form. The kinetic motion of electrons in the element also affects the physical state of the element and potential of bonding.

Give an example of a scientific hypothesis. Explain how you would test it, and how it could be falsified (proved untrue).
kaheart [24]

my hypothesis is that If you drop a piece of buttered toast, it will land butter side down.

I tested it by dropping 10 pieces of buttered toast off the table and noted on which side it landed

It could be falsified cause I just made all of this up. In essence, it's like flipping a coin, 50/50 chance so I could say that 5 landed butter up and 5 landed butter down.

In a "worst-case" design scenario, a 2000 kg elevator with broken cables is falling at 4.00 m/s when it first contacts a cushion
Leno4ka [110]

Answer:

4 m/s²

Explanation:

 When the elevator is 1 m below point of contact , compression will be 1 m.

Restoring force in the spring will be 10600 N. Friction force of 17000N  will also act in upward direction . The weight of 2000 x 9.8 N will act downwards

Force in down ward direction = 2000 x 9.8

= 19600 N

Force in upward direction

= 10600 + 17000

= 27600 N

Net force in upward direction

= 27600 - 19600

= 8000 N

Acceleration in upward direction

= 8000 / 2000

= 4 m/s²
