A force Ě = F, î + Fy h acts on a particle
AVprozaik [17]

Answer:

Pt 1: W=39J

Pt 2: θ = 19.7

Explanation:

Part 1:

W=FS

W=F_{_xs_x}+F{_ys_y}

imagine the "i"and the "j" with the hat

W=(10i-1j)(4i+3j)

W=(10*4)-(1*1)

W=40-1

W=39J

Part 2:

|F|=\sqrt{10^2+(-1)^2}

|F|=\sqrt{101}

|S|=\sqrt{4^2+1^2}

|S|=\sqrt{17}

W=|F||S|cosθ

39=(\sqrt{101})(\sqrt{17} )cosθ

θ = 19.7

Hope it helps

A cyclist maintains a constant velocity of 4.1 m/s headed away from point A. At some initial time, the cyclist is 244 m from poi
astra-53 [7]

Answer:

d=490\ m is his final displacement from the point A after 60 seconds.

Explanation:

Given:

Cyclist is moving away from A.

  • velocity of cyclist, v=4.1\ m.s^{-1}
  • displacement of the cyclist from point A at the time of observation, d_i=244\ m
  • time after which the next observation is to be recorded, t=60\ s

Now as the cyclist is moving away from point A his change in displacement after the mentioned time:

\Delta d=v.t

\Delta d = 4.1 \times 60

\Delta d=246\ m

<u>Now the the final displacement from point A after the mentioned time:</u>

d=d_i+\Delta d

d=244+246

d=490\ m

What 2 kinds of substances does convection occur ?
ch4aika [34]

Liquids and Gases

Explanation:

Convection is a form of heat transfer that is predominant in liquids and gaseous substances. This form of heat transfer is driven by density differences between gases and liquids.

  • Convection involves the actual movement of the particles of a medium.
  • Boiling of food is clinical example of convection in liquids. Hot part of the food in contact with the heat source becomes less dense and more buoyant. They rise to the top of the medium and are replace by the denser and colder part of the food.
  • Land and sea breeze is an example of convection in gases. The land warms the air around it during the day. It is hotter and less dense. The air mass moves to replace the ones on the sea where the air is relatively cold due to high specific heat capacity of water.
  • The reverse process occurs at night.
