Ok so the first answer is reflected and the second answer is absorbed.
So the correct sentence would be “When light strikes a green opaque object, the green wavelength of light is reflected while all other wavelengths of visible light are absorbed.”
This is because an object that is a certain color, like green, reflects that color of wavelength and absorbs all the other wavelengths. This is what allows us to see things in different colors. I hope this helps!

A body is at aheight of 81m and is ascending upwards with a velocity of 12m/s .a body of 2 kg weight is dropped from it.if g=10m
butalik [34]
First the velocity drops to zero in 1.2 secs. In those seconds it went upwards for 7.2 m, then it went from 87.2 to 0m. x-x0=v0*t+1/2*g*t^2 ergo t=sqrt(2x/g) that is 4.1761 s. Finally the total time required is 5.3761 s

A smooth wooden block is placed on a smooth wooden tabletop. You find that you must exert a force of 22.0 N to keep this 7.00 kg
xxMikexx [17]

Answer:

B . 68.7 N

Explanation:

Given in the question that;

Force = 22 N

Mass = 7.0 kg

Velocity = 4.0 m/s

Gravitational force is the weight of wooden block , calculated as mass times acceleration due to gravity.

F= m* a

F= 7 * 9.81

F= 68.67 N

F= 68.7 N

By applying a force of one Newton, one can hold a body of mass _
SVEN [57.7K]

Answer:

By applying a force of one Newton, one can hold a body of mass of 102 gram.

Explanation:

  • Force is the pull or push of an object. It can be mathematically measured as, F= m* g.

                       where, F= force in newton

                                  m= mass in kg

                                  g= acceleration due to gravity (meter/second^{2} )

  • For 1 newton force,

                                   F= m* 9.8

                            or,   m= \frac{1}{9.8}= 0.102 kg

                            or,   m= 102 gram.

  • Hence, 102 gram mass can be hold by one Newton force.

a circular cylinder and isused to maintain a water depth of 4 m. That is, when the water depth exceeds 4 m, thegate opens slight
stiv31 [10]

Answer:

  W / A = 39200 kg / m²

Explanation:

For this problem let's use the equilibrium equation of / newton

           F = W

Where F is the force of the door and W the weight of water

         W = mg

We use the concept of density

        ρ = m / V

        m = ρ V

The volume of the water column is

          V = A h

We replace

         W = ρ A h g

On the other side the cylinder cover has a pressure

          P = F / A

          F = P A

We match the two equations

       P A = ρ A h g

        P = ρ g h

        P = 39200 Pa

The weight of the water column is

       W  = 1000 9.8 4 A

       W / A = 39200 kg / m²

What happens when polar molecules are between oppositely charged metal plates
KatRina [158]

Answer:

They will become aligned according to the charges on the metal plate.

Explanation:

When Polar molecules are placed between oppositely charged metal plates the molecules will tend to be attracted by their corresponding oppositely charged plates that is the positive and negative plates,

A polar molecule is one which has opposite charges on its ends. Non-polar molecules however do not have charges on their end
