What velocity in km/hr would it take to accelerate a 2 kg object to the same momentum of a 1500 kg object with a velocity of 1.6
Lynna [10]

Answer:

v = 4374 Km/h

Explanation:

Given that,

Mass of the smaller object, m = 2 Kg

Mass of the bigger object, M = 1500 Kg

Velocity of the bigger object, V = 1.62 m/s

Velocity of the smaller object, v = ?

The product of its mass and velocity of a body is equal to its linear momentum. It is given by the formula

                                p = mv  Kg m/s

To find the momentum of the bigger object, substitute M and V in the above equation

                                p = 1500 Kg x 1.62 m/s

                                   = 2430 Kg m/s

The velocity imparted to the small body to attain this momentum is given by the relation

                               v = p/m  m/s

                                   = 2430 Kg m/s  /  2 Kg

                                   = 1215 m/s

By converting the velocity to Km/h

                                v = 4374 km/h

Hence, the velocity of the 2 Kg object is v = 4374 km/h

Is Obesity primarily due to Genetics?
zepelin [54]
Obesity is primarily caused by a lack of physical activity or by unhealthy dietary habits. The positive energy balance underlying obesity is generally attributed to chronic excess energy intake or reduced physical activity.

A disk initially rotated counterclockwise at 1.0 rad/s, but has a counterclockwise angular acceleration of 0.50 rad/s^2 for 2 se
Mumz [18]

Answer:

Initial angular position of the disc is 3 radian

Explanation:

As we know that the angular acceleration of the disc is given as

\alpha = 0.50 rad/s^2

initial angular speed is given as

\omega = 1 rad/s

now we know that angular displacement of the disc is given as

\theta = \omega t + \frac{1}{2}\alpha t^2

\theta = 1(2) + \frac{1}{2}(0.5)(2^2)

\theta = 3 rad

now we have

\theta_f - \theta_i = 3 rad

6 rad - \theta_i = 3

\theta_i = 3 ard

PLEASE ANSWER ASAP!!!
Mice21 [21]

The total momentum of the system has to be conserved to satisfy the principle of conservation of momentum. Before the ball hits the bottle, the momentum of the system is 0.4 x 18 = 7.2 kg m/s

The momentum of the bottle after being hit is 0.2 x 25 = 5 kg m/s

So the momentum of the ball now is 7.2 - 5 = 2.2 kg m/s

Hence its velocity is 2.2/0.4 = 5.5 m/s
