The mean temperature change is calculated by dividing the sum of the temperature changes by the number of trials. This questions say exclude the anomalous result which I assume is test 2, which gave a temperature change of 7.3. I will exclude this test. The mean will therefore be (9.5+9.2+9.5)/3 = 9.4. The mean temperature change is 9.4 C.

What type of compound results from the reaction of an acid chloride and a 2° amine?
Butoxors [25]

Amide is produced when a 2° amine and an acid chloride combine.

Acid chloride: What is it?

  • The chemical name for acid chloride is RCOCl, where "R" stands for a side chain. They are reactive derivatives of carboxylic acids. In organic chemistry, an acyl group and a chlorine atom form an organic molecule known as an acyl chloride (also known as acid chloride).
  • A functional group identified by the RCO molecular formula is called an acyl group. Since acyl chlorides are often hazardous, handling them requires extra care.
  • They have the potential to produce HCl and organic compounds when they interact with water on the surface of the eye, irritating the eye. Anhydrous acid salts are neutral because it lacks an H+ donor.

A gas has a pressure of 3 atm at 350°C. What will its pressure be at 250°C? The volume and amount of gas is constant. Hint: Conv
vichka [17]

We are given:

P1 = 3 atm                  T1 = 623 K (350 + 273)

P2 = x atm                 T2 = 523 K (250 + 273)

Solving for x:

From the idea gas equation:

PV = nRT

since number of moles (n) , Volume (V) and the Universal Gas constant(R) are constants;

P / T = k   (where k is a constant)

the value of k will be the same for a gas with variable pressure and temperature and constant moles and volume

Hence, we can say that:

P1 / T1 = P2 / T2

3 / 623 = x / 523

x = 523 * 3 / 623

x = 2.5 atm (approx)

Therefore, the final pressure is 2.5 atm

What is the [h3o ] for a solution of seawater at 25°c that has a ph of 8.3?
Kipish [7]
PH of solution at 25ºC = 8.3

[ H_3O^+] = 10 ^{-pH}

{H_3O^+] = 10 ^{-8.3}

[H_3O^+] = 5.011*10^{-9}  M

hope this helps!
