From britaññica it said time and money. They didn’t have either to switch over from the industrial period and never did. Also from my own person reasoning i think most of the world uses not US customary, so to make stuff more accessible. hope this helps!

A golfer tees off and hits a golf ball at a speed of 31 m/s and at an angle of 35 degrees. How long was the ball in the air? Rou
Slav-nsk [51]

Answer:

3.6 seconds

Explanation:

Given:

y₀ = y = 0 m

v₀ = 31 sin 35° m/s

a = -9.8 m/s²

Find: t

y = y₀ + v₀ t + ½ at²

0 = 0 + (31 sin 35°) t + ½ (-9.8 m/s²) t²

0 = 17.78t − 4.9t²

0 = t (17.78 − 4.9t)

t = 0 or 3.63

Rounded to the nearest tenth, the ball lands after 3.6 seconds.

what are the three types of solenoids, which one is the most common, and which one is used in pinball machines?
amm1812

Answer:

The types of solenoids are: AC Laminated Solenoid , DC Solenoid , Linear Solenoid ,and Rotary Solenoid.

Explanation:

  • The main purpose of solenoid is to generate the controlled magnetic field that can be used in many forms.
  • The most common use of solenoid is done in the pinball game.
  • The Flipper solenoid that uses the two coil are used in the mechanism of pinball machines.
  • One coil of the solenoid is supplied with high electric current where as other one has the weak current flowing through it.

What is the value of x in the equation below 1+2e^x+1=9
GuDViN [60]

Answer: 1.252

Explanation:

We are given this equation and we need to find the value of x:

1+2e^x+1=9   (1)

Firstly, we have to clear x:

2e^x=9-1-1

2e^x=7

e^x=\frac{7}{2}     (2)

Applying Natural Logarithm on both sides of the equation (2):

ln(e^x)=ln(\frac{7}{2})     (3)

xln(e)=ln(\frac{7}{2})     (4)

According to the Natural Logarithm rules xln(e)=x, so (4) can be written as:

x=ln(\frac{7}{2})     (5)

Finally:

x=1.252

Charge is flowing through a conductor at the rate of 420 C/min. If 742 J. of electrical energy are converted to heat in 30 s., w
Y_Kistochka [10]

Answer:

3.53 V

Explanation:

Electric charge: The is the rate of flow of electric charge along a conductor.

The S.I unit of electric charge is C.

Mathematically it is expressed as,

Q = It ............................ Equation 1

Where Q = electric charge, I = current, t = time.

I = Q/t.......................... Equation 2

From the question, charge flows through the conductor at the rate of 420 C/mim

Which means in 1 min, 420 C of charge flows through the conductor.

Hence,

Q = 420 C, t = 1 min = 60 seconds

Substitute into equation 2

I = 420/60

I =7 A

Also

P = VI......................... Equation 3

Where P = power, V = potential drop, I = current.

V = P/I................... Equation 4

Note: Power = Energy/time

From the question, P = 742/30 = 24.733 W. and I = 7 A.

Substitute these values into equation 4

V = 24.733/7

V = 3.53 V

Hence the potential drop across the conductor = 3.53 V
