The name of the given molecule according to IUPAC is 1-Butyne. Thus, option C is correct.

What is IUPAC nomenclature?

The IUPAC nomenclature is given as the standard naming technique that is used to name a chemical compound. It is named with the following main rules.

The triple bond compound is an alkyne with the suffix -yne. The development of the name to the given structure is therefore given by counting the number of carbon atoms, and the location of the triple bond.

There are 4 carbon atoms in the structure with the triple bond at carbon 1, therefore the name will be 1-Butyne. Hence, option C is correct.

A3B8 + C2 ---> AC2 +
AURORKA [14]

Answer:

A₃B₈ + 5C₂ –> 3AC₂ + 4B₂C

Explanation:

A₃B₈ + C₂ –> AC₂ + B₂C

The equation can be balance as illustrated below:

A₃B₈ + C₂ –> AC₂ + B₂C

There are 3 atoms of A on the left side and 1 atom on the right side. It can be balance by writing 3 before AC₂ as shown below:

A₃B₈ + C₂ –> 3AC₂ + B₂C

There are 8 atoms of B on the left side and 2 atoms on the right side. It can be balance by writing 4 before B₂C as shown below:

A₃B₈ + C₂ –> 3AC₂ + 4B₂C

There are 2 atoms of C on the left side and a total of 10 atoms on the right side. It can be balance by writing 5 before C₂ as shown below:

A₃B₈ + 5C₂ –> 3AC₂ + 4B₂C

Now, the equation is balanced.

A gas occupies 50.0mL at a standard temp. What volume would it occupy at 335 Celsius with
tino4ka555 [31]

Answer:

V₂ = 111.3 mL

Explanation:

Given data:

Initial volume of gas = 50.0 mL

Initial temperature = standard = 273.15 K

Final volume = ?

Final temperature = 335 °C (335+273.15 = 608.15 K)

Solution:

The given problem will be solve through the Charles Law.

According to this law, The volume of given amount of a gas is directly proportional to its temperature at constant number of moles and pressure.

Mathematical expression:

V₁/T₁ = V₂/T₂

Now we will put the values in formula.

V₁/T₁ = V₂/T₂

V₂ = V₁T₂/T₁

V₂ = 50.0 mL ×608.15 K / 273.15 k

V₂ = 30407.5 mL.K / 273.15 K

V₂ = 111.3 mL

which of the following activities could cause liquid molecules to overcome intermolecular attractive forces and become gas molec
Anna [14]
The answer is C. increasing the temperature of the liquid.

Increasing the temperature of the liquid also means that you are providing energy to the liquid, which makes the molecules overcome intermolecular attractive forces, move more constantly, and become gas molecules.

Hope this would help~

Which three properties differentiate solids, liquids, gases, and plasmas?
zaharov [31]

There are 3 states of matter – solid, liquid, gas. These states of matter occur naturally.

The fourth state of matter is called plasma. Plasma does not exist naturally and needs to be produced artificially from gases.

Gases are heated to a high temperature. The atoms and molecules, at this temperature, move at a great speed and collide with each other. In this process, the electrons are released from the atoms. Plasma contains negatively charged electrons and positively charged ions. Plasma can be referred to as hot ionized gas.

Plasma is similar to gas. It is a medium in which electrons travel. These electrons have a positive charge on them.

Shape

Solids have a definite shape.

Example: wood.

Liquid has the shape of the vessel which holds the liquid.

Example: water.

Gases lack shape. Gases need to be stored in a sealed vessel hence, takes the shape of the vessel.

Example: oxygen stored in an oxygen cylinder.

Plasma is similar to gas and hence, is stored in a sealed vessel. Thus, plasma takes the shape of the vessel in which it is stored.

Volume

Solids have a definite volume.

Liquids also have a definite volume.

Gases lack volume. Gas takes the volume of the vessel in which it is stored.

Example: oxygen has the volume of the cylinder in which it is stored.

Plasma also does not have a volume. Like gases, plasma also takes the volume of the vessel in which it is stored.

Conduction of heat

Solids are conductors of heat.

The molecules of a solid are conductors of heat hence, solid gets hot.

Example: wood gets heated up after some time when kept in sunlight.

Liquids conduct heat.

The molecules of a liquid are conductors of heat hence, it starts boiling.

Gases do conduct heat.

Plasma also conducts heat.

Plasma has thermal conductivity.

Ethylene glycol, C2H6O2, is a nonvolatile substance unable to form ions in water. If 38.6 grams of ethylene glycol is dissolved
Verizon [17]
Take 36 / (24 + 6 + 32) = 0.580 mol
0.580/.175 = 3.31 m
depression = 1.86 * 3.31 = 6.16
Subtract from 0 gives -6.16 C closest is A
