Answer:

D) Photography can be used to both control and benefit society.

Explanation:

High-resolution satellite imagery and diagnostic positron emission tomography (PET scans) have been used to both control and benefits the society in the sense that it has helped to take records of information of crime, traffic offenders such drunk drivers and over speeding drivers, e.t.c. it helps control by given their information and automatically penalizing them or ensuring the agency penalized them and also benefit the society by preventing people from committing crime thereby, protecting them from offenders.

At the outer edge of a rotating space habitat, 130 m from the center, the rotational acceleration is g. What is the rotational a
enyata [817]

Answer:

Explanation:

Given:

R1 = 130 m

R2 = 65 m

w^2R = g

Assume, g = 9.81 m/s^2

w^2 = 9.81/130

w = 0.275 rad/s

At R2 = 65 m

g = w^2R

= (0.275^2) × 65

= 4.905 m/s^2

In conclusion,

g × R = k

g1/R1 = g2/R2

g2 = (g1 × 65)/130

= g1 ×1/2

= g1/2

A bottle lying on the windowsill falls off and takes 4.95 seconds to reach the ground. The distance from the windowsill to the g
Liula [17]
The distance an object falls from rest through gravity is
                        D  =  (1/2) (g) (t²)
           Distance  =  (1/2 acceleration of gravity) x (square of the falling time)

We want to see how the time will be affected
if  ' D ' doesn't change but ' g ' does.
So I'm going to start by rearranging the equation
to solve for ' t '.                                                      D  =  (1/2) (g) (t²)

Multiply each side by  2 :         2 D  =            g    t²

Divide each side by ' g ' :      2 D/g =                  t²

Square root each side:        t = √ (2D/g)

Looking at the equation now, we can see what happens to ' t ' when only ' g ' changes:

  -- ' g ' is in the denominator; so bigger 'g' ==> shorter 't'

                                             and smaller 'g' ==> longer 't' .--

They don't change by the same factor, because  1/g  is inside the square root.  So 't' changes the same amount as  √1/g  does.

Gravity on the surface of the moon is roughly  1/6  the value of gravity on the surface of the Earth.

So we expect ' t ' to increase by  √6  =  2.45 times.

It would take the same bottle  (2.45 x 4.95) = 12.12 seconds to roll off the same window sill and fall 120 meters down to the surface of the Moon.

Consider two ideal gases, A & B, at the same temperature. The rms speed of the molecules of gas A is twice that of gas B. Ho
uysha [10]

Answer:

option (d)

Explanation:

The relation between the rms velocity and the molecular mass is given by

v   proportional to  \frac{1}{\sqrt{M}} keeping the temperature constant

So for two gases

\frac{v_{A}}{v_{B}}=\sqrt{\frac{M_{B}}{M_{A}}}

\frac{2v_{B}}{v_{B}}=\sqrt{\frac{M_{B}}{M_{A}}}

{\frac{M_{B}}{M_{A}}} = 4

{\frac{M_{B}}{4}} = M_{A}

Question 4 options: The steps that lead you from dependence to independence are referred to as The _________ to Lifetime Fitness
Usimov [2.4K]

Answer:

Stairway.

Explanation:

The steps that lead you from dependence to independence are referred to as the stairway to Lifetime Fitness, Health, and Wellness.

This ultimately implies that, these stairway or steps are very important and essential for all humans who seek Lifetime Fitness, Health, and Wellness.

A good health can be defined as the state of well-being (wellness) in which all of the components of an individual's health are balanced. These state of wellness comprises of six (6) important components and they are;

1. Physical: this is a measure of the state of an individual's body or the way the body functions. It is enhanced by eating right, working out or exercising, avoiding drugs and alcohol, maintaining a good body mass index etc.

2. Emotional: this deals with the state of an individual's mind being void of worries, negativity etc.

3. Social: this involves keeping a good relationship with friends, family and many others around.

4. Environmental: it deals with maintaining a hygienic surrounding, that is devoid of pollutants.

5. Mental or intellectual: avoiding unnecessary stress and anxiety while dealing or coping with the realities of life.

6. Spiritual: it encompasses belief systems, values, ideals, morality etc.

Hence, when an individual is able to balance all of these above mentioned components, then he or she is said to be healthy.
