Find the weight of the following mass; (a) 220g please show the formula

Physics
1 answer:
Marrrta [24]3 years ago

Explanation:

weight=mass*gravity

w=mg

first change 220g to kg like this

1kg=1000g

?=220g

1kg*220g/1000kg=220/1000g

mass =0.22kg

now we can continue

w=0.22kg*10m/s^2 or w=0.22kg*10N/kg

=2.2N =2.2N

hope it helps you

Use your data (attachment) from Part 3 and Newton’s laws to explain why the force meter measures a force if the cart is moving a
vazorg [7]
The cart experiences a frictional force which is directly proportional to its weight. This means that there must be a force applied on the car to balance the forces on the car to produce a net force of 0.
This is in accordance to Newton's first law which states that an object at rest will remain at rest and an object in motion will remain in motion unless an external force acts on it. The force must be a resultant force.
Therefore, the force needed increases with the total weight of the cart as well as with the added mass in a linear manner.

How much heat is needed to raise the temperature of 8g of water by 15oC?
Murrr4er [49]
<h2>Answer: 502.08 J</h2>

Explanation:

The heat (thermal energy) needed in to raise the temperature in a process can be found using the following equation:

Q=m.C.\Delta T   (1)

Where:

Q is the heat

m=8 g is the mass of the element (<u>water</u> in this case)

C is the specific heat capacity of the material. In the case of water is C=4.184\frac{J}{g\°C}

\Delta T=15\°C is the variation in temperature  <u>(which is increased in this case)</u>

Knowing this, let's rewrite (1) with these values:

Q=(8 g)(4.184\frac{J}{g\°C})(15\°C)  (2)

Finally:

Q=502.08 J

In question 8 from “Problems 2”, you calculated that an archery arrow shot with an initial velocity of 45 m/s at an angle of 10
Zigmanuir [339]

The distance traveled by the arrow and horizontal velocity are directly proportional, thus when the distance increases, an increase in initial velocity will allow the arrow to hit the target.

<h3>Time of motion of the projectile</h3>

If the horizontal distance the projectile would travel before hitting the target is 70.67 m, the time of motion of the projectile is calculated as;

X = Vx(t)

t = X/Vx

t = X/Vcosθ

t = (70.67) / (45 x cos10)

t = 1.6 s

When the archery target is moved further away from the archer, the archer needs increase the initial velocity of the arrow assuming the angle of projection is constant.

Since the distance and horizontal velocity are directly proportional to each other, thus when the distance increases, an increase in initial velocity will allow the arrow to hit the target.
